Why is timing so important when designing your kitchen? (and why "designing")
It takes time to lay out your kitchen to it's peak efficiency, and it takes much thought of current usage, and perhaps future usage and appropriate features.
Then, when you DO get it just right, it can take 4-8 weeks to get your cabinets shipped, and of course, a little bit of time :) to get them installed perfectly. Somewhere in there, your countertop will get ordered and installed--and most countertop companies likely need the cabinets in place to template the space for fabrication of your product.
Much of the timing can be seasonal. Fall gets busy because people want an update before the holidays. Winter is a good time for your projects, as it can be a slower time for contractors and suppliers.
