I never want to complain about rain, but….. a full week that doesn’t have downpours would be nice.

Most everything is delayed getting in the ground. I keep smiling and telling myself it will all work out. But if I’m being completely honest, I’m very stressed over all of it. I should have probably skipped more this year but these are the decisions that August 2025 Melissa made and now I have to deal with them. I suppose it would be easier if I could just compost seedlings and not plant them but that makes my heart hurt. Soooooo We might harvest tomatoes before freeze? 🤪

I am getting 4 trays of snaps planted and got one bed w**ded this morning before it pours again this afternoon, so progress….

Also who put the w**d fertilizer in the rain? 🤔🫠

I took my first load up to Kansas City today to the KC Flower Farmer Wholesale Market ! Look at all of this beauty you guys! It was all grown right here around the KC area!
As I loaded my buckets into this cooler, I felt so proud of myself and all of these other local flower farmers that filled it. I know just how much work, money and time went into every stem you see. What you see is more than just flowers….It’s talent, passion, dedication, determination, grit, and a whole lot of love. I’m just getting immersed into the local cut flower growers community, and I can tell you it’s a beautiful thing. Kansas City is blessed to have such incredible growers.

These are all available tomorrow to registered florists.

For 3 years I’ve been trying to capture the B2 Stealth Bomber on camera to share with those of you that are not local. I know it’s a rare treat for you to see one in flight.

This morning I’m out at 6am doing chores cleaning water bowls and hear a plane over head. Look up and there she is flying right over the house. Fully not prepared to video…. Had no clue it was coming. They are sneaky like that. Sometimes you can’t hear them until they are right on top of you…. Then it often can be deafening loud . She must have been in extra quiet mode this morning 🤣.

Anywho, enjoy this terrible video of our boys and girls in flight this fine morning (yes we have female pilots on base). Very thankful for their service.

They’ve been very active the last few days flying routes and we are loving the show they are putting on. Whom ever buzzed the Bloom Room while we were eating lunch yesterday at low altitude … EPIC ✌🏻!!! We loved it! (Not a B2) I just wish we had been in the field so I could get a video!

And before anyone is tempted to type something negative and our military or the objective of this plane, just don’t. Your comment will be deleted and you might even find yourself blocked from the page. We proudly support our military in this house. Plus the locals on the page will probably eat up alive anyway. We are a pretty protective community over our airmen/women.🇺🇸

So last weekend I had the honor of creating some arrangements for a sweet bride’s wedding shower. Her theme was “Fancy Nancy” and was held at local tea room.

Wellllllll let’s just say I had the most fun I’ve had yet creating with flowers! I was asked by her mom to surprise her with flower garden themed high heeled shoes. Ok…. Let me figure out the mechanics and make it happen! This may have been a first for me, but I certainly hope it’s not the last because look how adorable these are!!! Anyone else need some Fancy Nancy Garden Party shoes? 😍
