We repair “broken” decks. This was a 25 year old cedar deck. The deck flooring was rotting. After we removed the decking it was discovered the floor supports (joists) were also in very poor condition which necessitated removal and replacement before the new composite flooring can be installed.

Attic renovation is all done.

Haven’t posted in a while. Too busy work. Here is a look at our latest project.

Customer had an unused attic over garage area. We discovered this could be accessed through their 2nd floor hallway. The project: Finish space to accommodate a laundry room, home office and storage area.

Doorway had to be added in hallway to new living space and window installed for light and fresh air. 2X10 beams had to be added to floor joists to support additional weight. Plumbing and Electrical had to be brought in for new needs. Flooring, Insulation and finish walls with Sheetrock.

I arrived at job to find serious water damage to wood facia and main support header. This required removing damaged header and replacing damaged sections. We removed all wood facia and replaced with Azek PVC trim boards, including support columns. Old style arch’s replaced with straight trim for nice clean look. This project took 2 days

This week we were involved in a project to remove the facia board around a set of garage doors. Wood was down to concrete apron of driveway. This can be a problem as it allows termites to infiltrate from the ground and is very difficult to detect without removal. What we found was extensive destruction of the facia, support wood and headers.spanning doors.

All affected areas were removed and replaced. Any wood at ground level was either replaced with pressure treated wood, or pressure treated sill plates to eliminate infiltration of termites or carpenter ants.Customer was advised to contact a pest control company to get a termite treatment.

We also did a quick bathroom Reno. Removed tub, new shower, glass doors, floor, toilet and trim.
