A few tips for homeowners hiring tree workers to clean up storm damage.
• Ensure that the company you hire has the proper insurance, if they do not financial responsibility may be left on you if they cause damage or get injured on your property.
• Make sure it’s a proper licensed business, businesses have reputations to uphold and will be more accountable.
• Proper tree companies also have the correct equipment and tools to complete the work from cutting the material up to disposal.

Be safe if you chose to cut things yourself, wind damaged trees and fallen debris may look easy to cut but can be very dangerous. Most tree companies offer free estimates so don’t be afraid to call someone.

Happy Arbor Day! “To be without trees would, in the most literal way, to be without our roots” - Richard Mabey. Here at TimberRoots trees are extremely important to us. Unfortunately not all trees can be saved and must be removed, like the maple pictured below. If you take care of your trees with regular maintenance and inspection they have a better chance of surviving longer.
