These trees were tucked into a very tight space between two buildings with limited access, a steep bank and propane tanks below. We set up our crane on the street and were able to reach over the house, rig sections of the tree and lift them out to the road where the crew could process everything safely and efficiently. Jobs like this are a good example why having the right equipment and knowing how to use it can make a difficult removal much more controlled and far less disruptive to the property.

A little Tree work in downtown Waitsfield.
The Town of Waitsfield hired us to remove several declining sugar maple trees around the Joslin Memorial Library. These were large mature trees in a busy public space so the job required careful planning to protect pedestrians, the library grounds, memorial, sidewalk and surrounding property. Our crew used a combination of bucket truck & crane to carefully dismantle the trees, while keeping the work area controlled and minimizing impact to the site. It’s always a little bittersweet to remove old sugar maples like these, especially in such a prominent spot in town, but their health had been declining and it was time for them to come down. After the removals were complete, we ground the stumps, cleaned up the work areas and left the grounds ready for whatever comes next. Whitney Tree Service-Serving the Mad River Valley since 2001

A tight-access removal from last week here in the Mad River Valley.
These trees were growing on a bank beside a 13 kV utility line, with a propane tank below them on one side and a septic tank and leach field on the other. With very little room to work, careful planning and control were especially important.
Our 98' grapple-saw crane allowed us to dismantle the trees piece by piece while keeping the crew out of the trees and minimizing the impact to the surrounding property.
Jobs like this are a good example of why we’ve invested in specialized equipment over the years. The right equipment, combined with an experienced crew and a good plan, allows us to handle difficult tree work safely and efficiently.

The big old cottonwood at the Knoll Farm had to be removed. I have been caring for this tree for decades. Marilyn & I were married here. Anyway, it looked healthy during the summer months but had become a hazard and it needed to go. It was oneof the largest trees in the state. Our crew did an excellent job and everything went smoothly!
