✅ 𝗨𝘀𝗲 𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀: Always stick with the manufacturer-approved cord and adapter. Avoid uncertified replacements.

✅ 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝘀: If a battery swells, leaks, gets excessively hot, or emits an odor, stop using it immediately and isolate it safely outside away from combustibles.

✅ 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝗹𝘆: Avoid charging devices on beds, couches, or under pillows where heat gets trapped. Charge on hard, flat surfaces.

🔥 FIRE SAFETY FRIDAY WITH EMBER | Smoke Alarm Awareness 🚨

October is Fire Safety Month, and Ember has one question for you: When was the last time you checked your smoke alarms?

A great reminder is the seasonal clock change. When daylight saving time ends, use it as your cue to test every smoke alarm in your home or business and check the batteries. For alarms with replaceable batteries, follow the manufacturer’s replacement schedule. Many newer alarms have sealed, long-life batteries that should not be routinely replaced.

🔥 Did you know smoke alarms do not last forever?
NFPA guidance generally calls for smoke alarms to be replaced after 10 years from the date of manufacture, unless the manufacturer provides different instructions. The sensing components can become less reliable as alarms age.

🏠 Have smart smoke alarms? Check the manufacturer’s instructions for your specific model. Battery, testing, maintenance, and replacement requirements can vary.
