It’s kind of amazing how many moving parts have to come together to complete each and every tree job.

Unfortunately, we recently experienced a hydraulic pump failure on our relatively new bucket truck. Definitely not something we expected, and certainly a setback — but setbacks are part of running a business.

Thank God for great friends who drop everything to help and for great customers,, They did not mind the oversized lawn ornament for a day or two.

Equipment can break. Plans can change. Problems come up. What matters is how you respond.

Our crew will keep pushing forward, getting the problem resolved, and doing everything we can to keep our customers’ jobs moving.

Here in Doylestown, PA, McCreesh Tree Service is installing a combination of through-bolts and support cables in a mature co-dominant Chestnut Oak. Co-dominant stems can develop weak unions that may become more susceptible to splitting as the tree grows and carries additional weight during wind, rain, or snow events.

Rather than removing a valuable mature tree, proper cabling and bracing can sometimes help preserve it by providing additional structural support and reducing movement between the stems. This type of work should be evaluated and installed by an experienced Certified Arborist based on the individual tree and its condition. At McCreesh Tree Service, our goal is always to preserve mature trees whenever it can be done safely and responsibly.
