⚡ We’re now a GenerLink Certified Installer.
That matters even more after Ford’s July 22 announcement: compatible F-150 Lightning and F-150 PowerBoost Hybrid trucks can use their 240-volt Pro Power Onboard outlets with Ford/GenerLink connection equipment to supply backup power through a home’s electrical panel.
With a professionally installed GenerLink transfer switch, available power can reach home outlets and hardwired loads such as well pumps, sump pumps, gas furnaces, security systems, and lighting—without running extension cords throughout the house.
This is not the same as a fully automatic bidirectional V2H system. It is a practical transfer-switch solution that uses the truck’s onboard 240-volt power. Utility approval, meter compatibility, vehicle configuration, and available output must all be verified before installation.
EV Charging Installers of America can evaluate the site, confirm compatibility, handle the electrical installation, and help homeowners choose the right backup-power approach.
