SMALL PROJECT — BIG IMPACT | CLAYTON, CA

Sometimes a smaller project can make a huge difference in how a yard looks and functions.

For this repeat client in Clayton, the goal was to create a little more separation and definition in the side yard while making the new section look like it had always belonged there.

A few years ago, our team built the existing fence, so we returned to install a new 4-foot-tall overlapping redwood fence and custom gate, designed to match the original fencing.

Beautiful redwood, a clean overlapping design, and craftsmanship that ties the new work seamlessly into the existing property.

We love being called back by past clients. Whether it’s 20 feet or 200 feet, the details and quality of the finished project still matter.

MORAGA TRANSFORMATION — FENCE, RETAINING WALL & DRAINAGE

This Moraga project was much more than a fence replacement.

The existing fence and retaining wall were failing and beginning to yield, so our crew removed the old materials and rebuilt the area with strength, drainage, longevity, and appearance all in mind.

We installed a new retaining wall using pressure-treated posts and kickboards for structural durability, finished with a smooth redwood top cap for a clean, polished look and a more usable finished surface.

Just as important is what you don’t see. We installed a French drain behind the retaining wall to help manage water during the rainy season, improve drainage, and reduce the water and soil pressure against the wall.

To complete the transformation, we removed and replaced the fencing and gate with a beautiful overlapping redwood privacy design featuring custom piano-key lattice.

The photos show the before and after, but they really don’t capture just how dramatic the transformation is in person. What was an aging, failing section of the property is now strong, functional, properly drained, and beautifully finished.
