Winter is just around the corner which means the first frost is expected any day❄️

Freezing temperatures can damage vulnerable plumbing and water features . You will want to make sure that all of your plumbing, pipes, water fountains, irrigation lines, pool equipment, ect are properly drained and closed down.

💧Why does it matter?
• Helps prevent costly freeze damage
• Protects pumps and vulnerable plumbing
• Prepares your water features for an easier spring start-up
• Helps maintain the function & life span of your outdoor space

👉Not all equipment is created equal. It’s important that each piece is prepped according to its own design, purpose, & requirements.

Don’t wait until Thanksgiving and steady freezing temperatures to get started !!! A little planning and preparation can make all the difference next spring 🍃

We showed up to your property late last fall to clean up your flowerbeds but left the boxwoods - even though they had scraggly growth on them.🤯

That’s because heavily trimming or shaping boxwoods in late fall-winter is actually harmful for the bush. Cutting off a lot of leaves right before the cold weather can cause winter stress, browning, and leave it vulnerable to the elements.

Instead, it’s important to leave any major cutting until the following year .

🪚May - June is a perfect time to reshape the plant or reduce any overgrowth .

💇July is good for light trimming while August -
September is a good time for mild touch ups .

Landscaping is a business built on trust between the crew and the client. We want to help your plants thrive and look good at the same time. It’s our job to know when a plant needs to be cut back and when to make minor adjustments.
