When your bathroom/shower vent is not properly vented outside the home or roof it puts all that moisture in your attic causing mold and possible wood rot as we've seen on several homes just this year alone. Mixed with a not properly vented roof and it gets even worse. These are little kits you buy has the flex tube and roof vent then gets taped for a tight seal

Frosty roof season comes early here in the mountains! . . We work year arround and if you look back , some of our largest and best jobs are done over the winter. The fall is my all time favorite roofing season I'd have to say. If installed correctly it does not effect as long as it gets just a little sun and never in over 15 years had a problem with installing in winter. Or problems at all.

Did you know that 90% of our jobs end up 10 times harder than expected due to lack of knowledge in the past roofers,builders,chimney guy and also in this case the gutter guy? Nobody should of tried roofing over this without being sheeted over 1st but now we have to do wood repair and kill mold 1st before we sheet overlay . Somebody hung the gutter and facia higher than the roof line wich caused water dams then leaked into the soffit and back into the walls of the home. Multiple horrible leak repair attempts. Disconnected shower vent causing excess moisture in attic wich rots wood and causes mold and possible health issues. And everyone assumes we are just there for the roof. We thought so too but its never the case. We do the extra and will address issues most know nothing about if we see them. We're not there just to make a buck and thats exactly what sets acorn appart.

In our area we are choking on smoke from wildfires yet still trying to do the best job possible. This install the owner and his family worked so hard and did all the tear off and wood repairs also in the heat and smoke and i want to do the best job possible on this house. But the smoke still is not fun , Some jobs on the coast right now would be perfect!

Doing this metal lock seam roof with ash falling from a near by wildfire was not my greatest idea lately but it is finished with all the details and fixings. Some days were in purple air quality rating with high heat wich chased us home by 2pm most days. This roof is beautiful!

Whacky weather. We are sitting watching the weather forecast say zero rain while its raining across the state and in our area. There is also realy bad air quality for eastern oregon. I may sit home today like a bum . We are working on a metal roof tear off and will be installing lock seam metal roofing . Over half the old roof is removed and wood work needs finished and had to temporarily cover it with underlayment to keep it water tight untill safe to open it back up and fix it .
