Never have someone who volunteers a "free inspection" look for Damage before you inspect your own property. To many times contracts "create" damage you didn't know you even had to gain themselves work.

You notice a leak in one area, check your roof but after a "free inspection" you are notified you have missing shingles etc.. in areas not damaged prior.

Free roof inspection scams typically begin with an unsolicited offer. Scammers will often show up at your door and offer to provide you with a roof inspection for free. They'll usually explain that they were working on a neighbor's roof or just happened to be in the area and noticed your roof needed repairs.

But homeowners should beware that prioritizing speed by hiring a contractor who knocks on the door before they’ve had a chance to check references or talk with their insurance company can be an invitation for fraud.

Insurance fraud is real. Fraud leads to higher insurance premiums for everyone in the insurance pool. Insurance is high enough as it is.

After storms, roofing scams become more common. BBB Scam Tracker has reports of shady “free” roof inspections.

If you have storm damage and you have home insurance be sure you follow the steps below for the best possible outcome. Roads are still blocked in many areas so be patient.

Steps to Storm Damage Repair🌪⛈️

1. Check Your Home for Damage
2. Review and Assess the Damage (Document all damage with photos and lots of photos before you do anything!)
3. Contact Your Insurance Provider ( ask what coverage you have for emerency repairs)
4. Avoid Additional Damage Where Possible such as getting a roof tarped etc.
5. Choose the Right Contractor for home storm repair
6. If you have roof damage, after you have documented with LOTS of photos, move all items you can to the undamaged end of your home.

It is busy season here at Perfect Preservations llc! We are currently booked out for 3 months and are no longer taking on anything else for a while. If you are currently on our list of contracts approved or are on the list of estimates needed, no worries you are still accounted for in this 3 month span. Any new estimates requested are welcome however please be aware it will be roughly 3 months out before any new jobs can be started. As always thank you all for supporting our small business!

This winter project is almost complete! Interior done. Exterior has a few more things needed before we show that off. This home was in need of some tlc. From a new metal roof all the way down to the foundation repaired. We had the foundation redone, we leveled and refinished the floors, opened up the living and kitchen area for a nice open floor plan, new tile in the kitchen, utility and bathrooms, we had the drywall all refinished ceilings and all for a smooth look. New wiring, can lights, finished out the mudroom, new closets in master bedroom, redone the guest bathroom, gutters, refinished kitchen cabinets and soooo much more. This house went from dated and blahhh to light, open and fab!!! This one completely exceeded our expectations! Who's next??
