Due to some unforeseen circumstances, we had to revisit the Rock Island project in Hempstead, TX for Phase 4.1.

We came back in and reworked the original house pad, then added another 60’ x 40’ pad and connected the two to accommodate the future covered parking area. That brought the total pad area to a little over 8,000 sq. ft. And 1,600 CYs of select fill.

We also installed a temporary culvert and regraded the future driveway and house approach to get everything on grade and ready for the next phase.

A little more dirt work than originally planned, but that’s construction. Plans change, and we make it work.

This one is ready to go, and hopefully we’ll see construction starting very soon!

Texas A&M Forest Service has raised the Wildland Fire Preparedness Level to Level 3.

Recent and forecast wildfire activity, ongoing resource commitments, and the potential for lightning ignitions across the High Plains today and tomorrow are contributing to elevated fire risk. Strong outflow winds associated with thunderstorms may also result in periods of increased fire behavior and resistance to control on existing wildfires.

We continue to monitor the situation and stand ready to respond to any requests for assistance.

Beautiful morning for some shredding in Austin County.

We’re knocking out another 25 acres for a great new client, Posterity Ranch. Nothing beats a Texas sunrise, fresh-cut pasture, and a tractor that’s actually cooperating… at least so far.

What a difference a mulcher can make.

Forestry mulching isn’t the right solution for every property, but it was a great fit for reclaiming this vacant lot. We mulched all the immature trees, knocked back the underbrush, opened everything up, and gave this property a whole new look.

We also discovered a few old tires hidden in the brush… because apparently every overgrown property comes with a complimentary tire collection.
