Backsplash tile going in at the Portland Ave project. The color is "v***r". Very appropriate. 😍

Josh hung the mahogany doors in the Portland Ave primary suite. Lots of micro-decisions and pre-planning for this bank of doors because both the ceiling and floor are out of level. None of the doors could be hung uniformly, and all needed to be trimmed differently at the bottom.

With three doors, the rhythm of the trim as the doors relate to each other, and as each door relates to the ceiling and floor, are so important to the final asthetics of this room, and to the proper functioning of the doors.

Every remodel uncovers hidden secrets along the way. Josh's habit is to meet those challenges with curiosity, creativity and ingenuity.

Oh, and that Sherwin-Williams hushed blue-green shade and matte finish is 🔥. It'll be stunning when the doors are finished to match the original mahogany windows of this mid-century home. 😍

Site assessment for a business in Dayton. Beams are an inch lower than Josh's noggin, and there's 100+ years of dust and debris in the space, hence the stylie get-up. 😀👷

White oak semi-custom cabinets are going in at the Portland project. They look great with the floors. 😍

Josh and the homeowner are working in tandem. It's noisy, but fun and chill, too. Cabinet installations are a favorite for Josh...he says he loves the spatial puzzle it offers. 🔨 🧰 🗜 📐

We tried to have fun with the sounds of the job site. 😅🤪

Giving back to our community is important to us!

Saturday we spent the morning doing habitat restoration, flinging frozen salmon carcasses into a local stream, just like they'd be after spawning. Someone caught our truck and a crew of volunteers in action. Can you spot Josh in his orange waders?
