🍋🍋Stop down on the corner of 1st and Main Street in Wall Lake and help a girl out!! She has delicious fresh-squeezed lemonade, snack mix, and chocolate chip cookies. She takes cash and Venmo. She is donating 1/2 of her proceeds to help purchase a new ice cream machine for Twilight Acres Nursing Home here in Wall Lake. Go Kaelly!!!

COUNCIL UPDATE: LIFT STATION PROJECTS - Last evening, the Storm Lake City Council heard an update on lift station projects currently taking place in three locations. All of the projects are on schedule. While it has proven difficult to obtain shipping of certain parts, the streets will be opened this season while awaiting those deliveries.
* College Avenue and 3rd Street - Work in the roadway is nearing completion. Weather permitting, the contractor plans to pour concrete Monday or Tuesday of next week, and the street could be reopened to traffic in the latter portion of the week. BVU parking area will also be reopened soon. Project completion is scheduled for next April.
* Scout Park (Lighthouse Drive) - The large lift station project has been delayed somewhat by wet weather, but the contractor has committed additional resources to ensure that the project remains on schedule. The closed lane of Lighthouse Drive will be reopened when possible. Site restoration and lift station startup is scheduled for next spring or summer, with completion by fall.
* Icehouse Lift Station (Vista Drive) - With the Scout Park project as the priority, when that project nears completion, the smaller Icehouse lift station will be replaced. The contractor plans to break ground this fall or winter, and complete the project in 2026.
