🧠❄️ HVAC TRIVIA TIME! ❄️🧠

Here’s today’s question:

What does HVAC actually stand for?

You hear the term all the time, but do you know what each letter means? HVAC covers more than just keeping your house cool in the summer — it’s the system that helps manage your home’s temperature, airflow, and overall comfort throughout the year.

Think you know the answer? Drop your guess in the comments! 👇

We’ll put the answer in the first comment. 😎

Not a man cave… a HE SHED. 😎🔧

We recently helped turn this small shop into a much more comfortable place to work, tinker, and hang out with a new mini-split installation.

Whether it’s your workshop, garage, she shed, he shed, or backyard hideout, a mini-split is a great way to add heating and cooling without taking up a ton of space.

Now this shop is ready for projects year-round — no sweating through the summer or freezing through the winter. ❄️☀️

Need to make your shop or outbuilding more comfortable? Give Kent’s Mechanical a call!

🍂 Cooler Weather Is Coming… But Summer Isn’t Finished Yet! ☀️

We may be getting closer to fall, but those late-August temperatures can still put your A/C to work. Here are a few simple ways to stay comfortable and help your system through the last stretch of summer:

🌡️ Keep your thermostat steady — Constantly making big temperature changes can make your system work harder.

🧹 Check your air filter — A dirty filter can restrict airflow and reduce efficiency.

🚪 Keep doors and windows closed while the A/C is running so that cool air stays where it belongs.

🌀 Use ceiling fans to help circulate cool air and make rooms feel more comfortable.

🌞 Close blinds or curtains during the hottest part of the day to reduce heat coming into your home.

🌿 Check around your outdoor unit and keep grass, leaves, and debris cleared away so it has room to breathe.

And if your A/C is struggling to keep up, making unusual noises, or just doesn’t seem to be cooling like it should, Kent’s Mechanical is here to help.

🍂 Fall is on the way—but until then, stay cool!
