Who says outdoor living has to end when summer does?

There’s something special about a crisp fall evening by the water. The warmth of a fire, the sound of the waves, and a place to settle in and stay a little longer.

At this Jamestown waterfront home, a seaside pavilion creates an inviting place to gather and enjoy the beauty of coastal New England, even as the seasons begin to change.

Because some of the best moments at home happen beyond its walls.

Slow mornings, endless water views, and a front-row seat to the beauty of Narragansett Bay.

There’s something special about a home that makes the most of its surroundings. Here, the main bedrooms and the primary bathroom are being shaped around expansive windows that capture the coastline, bringing natural light, open skies, and sweeping water views into the most personal spaces of the home.

Even at this early stage, the architecture is beginning to tell its story. Vaulted ceilings add volume and character, while thoughtfully framed window openings establish a connection between indoors and out.

It’s a reminder that exceptional coastal living begins long before the finishing touches—with thoughtful design, precise craftsmanship, and an appreciation for the setting.

An open floor plan with a clear sense of purpose.

Creating this kitchen meant finding the right balance between openness, architectural character, and the practical needs of a busy household.

A U-shaped layout preserves sightlines throughout the main living areas, while a generous central island anchors the space. The custom range hood creates a natural focal point, and thoughtfully integrated features—including a five-foot galley work sink and a fold-open window to the screened porch—enhance the kitchen’s versatility.

Every element works together to create a cohesive space that feels equally suited to everyday routines and a house full of family.

| From vision to reality.

Luxury living doesn’t stop at the walls of a home. Here, the original design envisioned a series of outdoor spaces that feel connected to both the architecture and the surrounding landscape—creating places to gather, entertain, and simply enjoy being outside.

That vision is now taking shape. Decking and stairs begin to define the different levels, while the landscape and stepper pathway by Mather & Page create a natural transition through the property. An outdoor kitchen, pergola, integrated heaters, and cable railings will add the finishing layers of comfort and functionality.

For us, outdoor living is considered with the same attention to detail as the home itself—thoughtfully designed, carefully crafted, and built to feel like a natural extension of life indoors.

More than a century of history. And plenty of life still ahead.

Throughout the living spaces of this historic oceanfront property, the past wasn’t something to design around—it became part of the inspiration.

Working alongside Taste Design Inc., original details like the home’s stained-glass windows helped shape a palette of soft teals, layered with tailored millwork, reclaimed wood, richly textured fabrics, collected furnishings, and moments of pattern that give each room its own personality. Even the ceilings join the conversation, with wallpaper carried overhead in the study for an unexpected layer of character.

And that matters, because these aren’t spaces designed simply to be admired. They’re designed for the family traditions that fill a home with life—holidays, w**e tastings, game nights, other countless celebrations.

Because the goal isn’t simply to build a beautiful home. It’s to build one that remains exceptional for generations.

The view was always there. The kitchen just needed to find it.

In this historic oceanfront home, the original kitchen was tucked away from the water. The homeowners had one request: they wanted to cook while enjoying the view.

Instead of expanding the existing space, the team reimagined how the home could function. The former dining room became the new kitchen, bringing panoramic water views into everyday life, while the original kitchen became a serving space designed for entertaining behind the scenes.
Simple idea. Complex execution.

Together with Taste Design Inc., every detail—from window proportions and exterior elevations to trim and custom millwork—was carefully considered, so the new kitchen felt completely at home within the original architecture.

It’s the kind of work that reflects how we approach every renovation: respect the architecture, design for the way our clients want to live, and make every new detail feel like it belongs.

Built to frame the view—and stand up to it.

This Jamestown waterfront pavilion is officially complete—a handcrafted timber frame brought together with layers of natural materials and thoughtful craftsmanship.

The masonry plays a defining role, from the stone veneer wrapping the foundation to the substantial fireplace and chimney that anchor the structure.

Overhead, exposed timber framing, red cedar shingles, slate and copper accents add warmth and character, while crisp columns and carefully considered finish details complete the space.

Small in scale, but anything but simple. Every material, connection and detail was considered for how it would look, perform and age along the coast.

The result is a pavilion that feels grounded in its surroundings—and ready for years of gathering by the water.

More than a century of history is woven into the architecture and character of this historic oceanfront property.

After nearly two decades in the same family, the home was ready to evolve with them. What began as a more focused renovation grew into a whole-house transformation, creating a year-round home designed to welcome children, grandchildren, family, and friends while preserving the character that had made it special for generations.

Working alongside Taste Design Inc., the renovation was approached with a deep respect for the home’s history and distinctive Colonial Revival architecture. Original character and craftsmanship were celebrated, while thoughtful updates brought new life, function, and longevity to the spaces within.

Swipe through for a look at the transformation—and consider this just the beginning. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be taking a closer look at the craftsmanship, thoughtful details, and design decisions that make this home truly extraordinary.
