Maybe it is. Maybe yours looks a little different.

Either way, the Mad River Valley is one of the best places in the world to build it — and we’re the team to build it with.

One conversation is all it takes to find out if the timing is right.

After the kitchen. After the gathering room. There’s one more space that tells you everything about how a home was built.

The bathroom.

Not a bathroom you move through quickly — one you actually want to be in. A deep soaker tub that earns its place in the room. A large glass-enclosed shower that feels open, clean, and considered. And wherever possible, windows positioned to bring the outside in — a ridgeline, a treeline, a morning sky that changes every day.
We put the same thought into these spaces that we put into everything else. The layout. The materials. The way natural light moves through the room at different times of day. Because how a morning starts matters. And a space that’s been built with real intention has a way of making the whole day feel different.

These are some of our favorites. Each one quiet. Each one built to be a place someone actually looks forward to.

That’s what we’re after — every room, every time.

Siding. Fascia trim. Roofing. All happening at the same time up on the mountain.

When a build hits this stage, there's a momentum to it that's hard to describe. Multiple crews working in rhythm, each one focused on their piece, all of it coming together to push this home toward the finish line.

The exterior is taking shape — and up at Boulder Pass, with that backdrop, every detail matters even more.

Our team is locked in and keeping this build right on pace. That's the commitment to our clients, on every job, every day.

Lunch on a jobsite has its own kind of energy.

The saws go still. The ladders empty out. Tool belts get hung. And for about thirty minutes, the hum of a busy build gives way to something quieter — the sound of a crew sitting in the shade, talking about their lives outside of all this.

Laughs carry across the site. Someone's kid did something funny. Weekend plans get made. The conversation has nothing to do with framing or finish work and everything to do with the fact that these are real people who genuinely enjoy being around each other.

The Site Lead uses the quiet differently — checking in with the crew, finding out what's needed for the afternoon, making sure the second half of the day is set up to go as smooth as the first.

There aren't many slow moments on a jobsite. That's by design. But lunch matters. The fuel, the reset, the few minutes of real conversation before everyone picks their tool belt back up and gets after it again.

A great crew doesn't just build well together. They know how to take a breath together too.

The Ski Valley home is in its final push — and it's looking the part.

has been doing incredible work on the stone walls, and they're nearly complete. The kind of craftsmanship that holds the property together visually and structurally — strong, honest, and completely at home in this landscape.

The pool house is coming along with electrical going in for the Soak Pool. When that's finished, this outdoor space is going to be something else entirely. A place that earns every bit of the view it's sitting in front of.

And the landscaping is underway thanks to Broadleaf Landscape Architecture — tying it all together, making sure the grounds feel as intentional as every detail inside the home.

That's the thing about a build at this level. The work doesn't stop at the front door. The outside deserves the same attention, the same care, and the same commitment to getting it right. That's why we partner with local contractors who hold the same standard we do — people who take pride in their craft and show up for the project the same way we do.

Grateful for every one of them.

After the kitchen, there’s this.

The room where the family lands at the end of the day. Where the fire goes on when the temperature drops. Where the windows frame the Vermont landscape like a painting that changes every season. Where the light comes in long in the morning and golden in the afternoon and everyone finds their spot without thinking about it.

We put a lot of care into these spaces — and not just in how they look. In how they feel. The ceiling height that makes the room breathe. The fireplace that anchors everything around it. The windows positioned to pull the outside in. The layout that invites people to stay a little longer than they planned.

Because after all the craftsmanship and all the details, what we’re really building is time together. Game nights and quiet mornings and holidays and ordinary Tuesdays that end up being the ones people remember.

That’s what a great gathering space does. It holds all of it.

We love getting to build those rooms.

There's something we never get tired of — the moment where a centuries-old material meets a modern technique and the result is better than either one could produce alone.

Heavy timber cut with precision tools. Stone set the old way, planned with modern engineering. White cedar siding sourced from Vermont, installed with methods that give it the best chance to last another hundred years.

That combination is at the heart of everything we build. Classic materials because they belong here — in this climate, in this landscape, in this tradition of Vermont building. Modern techniques because our clients deserve the performance, the efficiency, and the longevity that comes with building at the highest level today.

It's not about choosing between old and new. It's about knowing when to honor what's always worked and when to reach for something better. The best builds live in that space — rooted in where they come from, built for where they're going.

That's the process we love. And it shows in every home we put our name on.

Spring in Vermont doesn't ease in — it arrives and puts you to work.

And we're ready for it.

With the snow off the ground and the days stretching out, it's time to turn our full attention to the exteriors. The work that waited all winter is waiting no longer. Siding. Trim. Decks. Drainage. The details that frame how a home meets the land around it.

At Boulder Ridge, that means something special. Tucked into the mountains, this build has been turning heads from the inside out — and now that the exterior is taking shape, the full picture is coming together. The kind of home that looks like it grew right out of the hillside. Because that was always the goal.

Vermont gives you the best backdrop in the world to build against. Spring just gives us back the time to do it justice.
