🚨 What happens when you hit three different types of glass with a 2x4 and a hammer? 🪟💥

With hurricane season upon us, there’s no better time to learn the difference between the glass protecting your home and family.

In this reel, we put annealed glass, tempered safety glass, and SeaStorm impact glass to the test.

🔹 Annealed glass shatters easily into large, sharp pieces.
🔹 Tempered glass is much stronger and, when it does break, crumbles into small, less dangerous pieces designed to help reduce injury.
🔹 SeaStorm impact glass? That’s a whole different story. After multiple swings with a 2x4 and several solid hits with a hammer…we still couldn’t break through it. 💪

While no product can stop every possible force, impact-rated glass is engineered to help withstand flying debris during severe storms and provide an extra layer of protection when it matters most.

🎳 Nothing beats a little friendly competition to kick off the Fourth of July weekend!

After a half day of work, our Coastal Windows Hawaii team headed over to Leeward Bowl for an afternoon of team bonding, laughs, and plenty of strikes (and a few gutter balls 😄).

Thanks to Leeward Bowl for hosting us and providing a great place for our team to unwind together. Days like these remind us that the relationships we build outside of work are just as important as the work we do together every day.

As a locally owned and operated company, we’re proud to be part of Hawaii’s community. We believe in taking care of our people, supporting local businesses, and making time to enjoy the friendships that make our team feel like family.

🌪️ What a CRAZY whirlwind start to the year the last few weeks have been! 🌊

From the BIA Home Show — which was a huge success 🙌 — to our factory tour that was incredibly well attended (thank you to everyone who came out!), it’s been nonstop in the best way possible.

We also made sure our installation team stayed safe and sharp with fall protection training, because doing things the right way always comes first 👷‍♂️💪

On top of that, we had the opportunity to attend the glass expo at the ‘Alohilani Hotel, which was an awesome way to stay up-to-date, connected, and on the cutting edge of our industry.

This home is a perfect example of why custom matters.

When we completed this installation a year ago, the homeowner already had plantation shutters installed. Instead of forcing a standard window design, we customized every unit without handles so the shutters could operate seamlessly.
