I believe this tree has stood for at least 200 years—far longer than any of us. It has watched the landscape change and generations come and go, a silent witness to history.

Today, the weight of ice brought down one of its great limbs. It’s a reminder that even the oldest and strongest things change, break, and eventually return to the earth. But for now, it still stands, holding onto the stories of the past.

How old do you think it really is? One day, when its last limb has fallen, we’ll count its rings and finally know.

Currently listening to this thunder-ice-danger-rain and reminiscing about the days when my biggest complaint was… weeds. 🤣

Honestly, bring back the weeds! At least they don’t freeze my face off. ❄️🥶

Have you ever weeded in the garden for so long that it’s almost dusk, you’re grumpy, all the cold water in the little cooler is gone, and now the cooler itself is somehow less comfortable than the ground… but you refuse to go inside because if you do, you know you’re not coming back out to finish… so you sit there, thirsty, dirty, hungry, and questioning your life choices… and then your husband shows up like a hero with a Starbucks Frappuccino, and instead of saying “thank you,” you sn**ch it out of his hand like a starving coffee goblin ☕️👹 and glare at him for doing a nice thing… but also, it’s the best, mostly-not-coffee-but-still-magical thing you’ve ever tasted🤷‍♀️😂✨… and he’s the best husband ever 🥰💕💜

I need some sunshine ☀️, pretty flowers 🌸, and a real tomato that actually smells like a tomato. 🍅✨
