Q&A with Bill George
Why is now the right time to step away?
I’ve done this since I was 19 years old with a pick-up truck and a trailer. I’m 51 and I’ve had a lot of fun doing it, but it’s time to try something new. Something different. I don’t know what it will be yet, but I’m looking forward to finding out.
Why is Ryatt the right company?
My company has been built on a love for our country and our Christian values. The day I met Ryan and Matt, one of them had an American flag on his shirt and it spoke volumes about what matters to them. I wanted to pass along the company to a firm that would take care of it and have the same values that I hold dear.
What do you think is the most important thing for your employees to know?
That Ryatt is similar minded; that they won’t cut corners and will do it right the first time. They have leadership, honesty, integrity, and that will continue long after I’m gone.
What would you like to tell your clients?
This company that has carried my name has been a large part of my life and my family’s life. The relationships I’ve built with my clients are friendships. It’s important for me to know they will be taken care of. I know they will be with Ryatt Construction.
Looking back on the company that you created, what are you most proud of?
What the company stands for. The relationships we built with our clients, the relationships with the guys who work with for us. There have been a lot of blessings that have come out of this company for me, for our staff, and for our clients, as well.
