During a Fall Yard Cleanup, we prepare your lawn and landscape for the winter season. Our services include leaf removal, trimming of shrubs, applying winter mulch, performing the last mow of the year, and clearing away any yard debris. This ensures that your lawn can absorb nutrients effectively and without hindrance.
We usually start our fall yard cleanups after most leaves have fallen from the trees, around late October. It's important to complete these tasks before winter arrives, as cold temperatures and snowfall will soon follow. Our fall cleanup services include:
Leaf Removal: This is one of the most important aspects of your fall cleanup. It’s essential not to let leaves accumulate on your lawn and landscaping as winter approaches. A layer of leaves can prevent grass and plants from absorbing the nutrients they need. They require as much sun, oxygen, and moisture as possible before entering their winter dormancy. We will gather the leaves into piles on tarps and then remove them for you.
Shrub/ Hedge Trimming: Before winter, we trim your bushes and plants to shape them, ensuring they are in top condition for spring growth. We provide one final trim for your bushes and plants before winter, ensuring they are shaped properly for optimal growth in the spring.
Mulch Replenishment: For certain properties, we may suggest applying winter mulch. This helps insulate the soil and plant roots from extreme temperatures. If you didn't replenish your mulch in the spring, now is the ideal time to do so.
Mowing: Your yard will get its final mow of the year, along with edging, string-trimming, and blowing. This prepares the lawn for winter and ensures it's at the proper height before going dormant.
Cleanup of Yard Debris: We clear away sticks, branches, twigs, and any other yard debris that may have accumulated in your yard or landscape beds throughout the growing season.
