Memorial Day is more than a long weekend, a barbecue, or a day at the lake.

It’s a day set aside to remember the men and women who gave everything for this country. The ones who never made it home. The families who carried on without them. The sacrifice that allows the rest of us to enjoy the freedoms we often take for granted.

Today, fly the flag proudly. Hug your family a little tighter. Enjoy the freedom they fought for — but take a moment to remember the true cost behind it.

We drove half the night but we made it just in time to saddle up and take some time putting the horse through his paces. Tracks a little muddy early on but should stiffen up by race time. Keep an eye out as Brad will be racing “Hoof Hearted” coming out of the 9 gate in the 8th. It’s only a matter of time until we hear “coming out of turn three headed for the finish and HOOF HEARTED ON THE BACKSTRETCH)…..
