That big metal box humming behind the building is a cooling tower, and it works harder than almost anything on the property. Every ton of heat your chillers pull out of the building gets rejected through it, and when the tower goes down, the chillers follow.

Fill, fans, bearings, basin. Towers don’t fail without warning, but somebody has to be looking. If nobody’s looked at yours since spring, worth a conversation before next summer runs the test for you.

Big rooftop unit, dead control boards. The compressors can be perfect and none of it matters if the brain is down.

Our techs ran factory diagnostic software on this AAON unit and traced it past the obvious: failed control boards, a bad compressor, a failed transducer, and electrical problems hiding behind all of it. Then we laid out the full repair instead of a band-aid, and sourced the boards straight from the supplier instead of waiting on standard lead times.

Controls work is where commercial HVAC service gets real. Facility managers know the feeling: unit looks fine, building says otherwise. That gap is our favorite place to work.

Got a call from a university lab: compressor down on the cooling system their work depends on. In a lab, temperature isn't comfort, it's whether the work counts.

This is the side of commercial HVAC most people never see. Process cooling. Critical environments. Working around a live lab without disturbing a thing, and not leaving until the system proves it's holding temp. Our tech diagnosed it, fixed it, verified it, gone.

Facility managers and plant operators know this feeling: the equipment nobody thinks about until 2pm on the day it matters. That's the stuff we live for.

Hamilton ISD, Central Texas. Phase 1 at the high school gym is complete: every riser on this wall fabricated, hung, and sealed by our crews, feeding a full bank of new package units. Inside, large exposed ductwork runs the length of the gym, and exposed duct means the work is the finish. No ceiling to hide behind, every hanger and seam in view over that court for decades.

Delivered on schedule, and now we roll straight into Phase 2 at the middle school. A GC doesn't lose sleep over whether ductwork can be installed. They lose sleep over whether it's done when the schedule says it's done. Phase 1 answered that. Phase 2 is next.

School work means summer schedules with zero float and buildings that have to be ready when the bell rings. That's exactly the kind of deadline this company was built for.

The mechanical scope should be the one you don't think about.

Every building on this card has one thing in common: somebody's counting on the mechanical to work.

A VA facility. A school district gym in August. A hospital wing. A church on Sunday morning. A central utility plant that can't take a day off. Different buildings, same standard.

TexTech is a commercial HVAC and mechanical contractor headquartered in Waco, serving Central Texas and the state beyond it. New construction on one side, service and maintenance on the other, so the buildings we build are buildings we can keep running.

New construction, Mechanical side: large-bore ductwork going in across a major commercial project.

Every section hung to structure, joints sealed, seams squared before the ceiling ever closes. This is the stage nobody sees in the finished building, and it decides how the building breathes for the next forty years.

Fabricated to spec, installed to standard, coordinated in BIM before the first section left the shop.

Multiple chilled-water cassettes went down in a university residence hall. In August. In Texas.

We diagnosed the failures, got replacement units secured, and the moment equipment hit the ground our crews were in the building. Ceiling open, old units out, new units hung, piped, and back online, with the space cleaned and returned to students.

Speed only counts if the work holds. Occupied-building work is its own discipline: contained, scheduled around the people who live there, done right the first time.

From the chiller plant to the cassette in the ceiling, one team covers the whole system.

Update from the campus steam project.

Mission-critical work: traced a leak on a live 4-inch steam main fed from the central boiler plant, installed isolation valves, shut the section down, and welded in new pipe. Back in service. No leaks.

Boiler work doesn't stop at the plant wall.

Data centers don't get a maintenance window. Server rooms, labs, and control rooms either, and the cooling in those rooms gets serviced, repaired, and replaced while everything stays online.

Data center cooling is a different discipline than comfort cooling. CRAC and CRAH precision units, dual-circuit refrigeration, controls and alarm integration, and full changeouts sequenced in live white space. Every step planned before anyone touches a unit, because in a data center the plan is the product.

Facility directors: if the precision cooling protecting your data center is aging out, the time to plan the changeover is before it fails at 2 a.m.
