NOW HIRING: ASSISTANT QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR 🚨

Alamo Structural Steel is looking for an experienced Assistant Quality Control Inspector to join our Waco team!

📍 2784 Old Dallas Rd, Waco, TX 76705
💰 Starting at $75,000/year, depending on experience
⏰ Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM–3:30 PM
📋 Full-time

In this role, you’ll help ensure our fabricated steel meets project specifications, customer requirements, applicable codes, and Alamo’s quality standards from fabrication through final inspection.

Key responsibilities include:
• Performing in-process and final inspections of fabricated steel
• Verifying dimensions, fit-up, weld quality, hole locations, and assembly accuracy
• Conducting visual weld inspections in accordance with applicable AWS standards
• Maintaining inspection records, weld logs, NCRs, and material traceability documentation
• Coordinating corrective actions with production teams
• Helping identify opportunities to improve quality and efficiency
• Ensuring compliance with AWS D1.1, AISC standards, project requirements, and company procedures

Minimum qualifications include:
• 5+ years of structural steel fabrication, welding, or quality control experience
• Ability to read and interpret structural steel shop drawings
• Strong knowledge of fitting, welding, cutting, drilling, and assembly
• Knowledge of AWS welding symbols and inspection requirements
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills

CWI certification potential, AISC quality management experience, and familiarity with Tekla are a plus.

The Processing Clerk plays an important role in keeping our shop organized and projects moving efficiently, supporting production, inventory, shipping, document control, and technology functions.

Key responsibilities include:
• Preparing and auditing cut lists and production documents
• Tracking inventory and reconciling purchase orders
• Maintaining shipping tickets, logs, and reports
• Entering and maintaining information in production databases
• Supporting document control and project documentation
• Assisting employees with Tekla software and general IT needs
• Setting up and configuring desktop and laptop computers
• Helping ensure accurate material tracking throughout production

In this role, you’ll help manage structural steel projects from development through completion while building strong relationships with clients, engineers, architects, detailers, and construction teams.

Key responsibilities include:
• Managing projects to meet scope, budget, and schedule requirements
• Maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships
• Reviewing plans, proposals, estimates, and contracts
• Monitoring project costs and budgets

Alamo Structural Steel is looking for an experienced Lead Machine Operator to join our Victoria team.

⏰ Full-time

Weekend Shift:
Friday–Sunday | 5:00 AM–5:30 PM
➡️ Work 36 hours and get paid for 40 when you complete the full scheduled shift
➡️ Plus a $3/hour weekend shift differential

Qualifications include:
• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of experience operating production machinery
• Knowledge of metal and shop fabrication equipment

Available shifts include:

🌙 Nights: Monday–Thursday, 3:00 PM–1:30 AM

$2/hour shift differential

🛠️ Weekends: Friday–Sunday, 5:00 AM–5:30 PM

Candidates should be comfortable working with production machinery, reading blueprints and diagrams, maintaining quality and safety standards, and working in a structural steel fabrication environment. Previous machine operating experience is preferred.
