Hurricane Lala Yurt Update:

Calls are coming in for repairs, but guess what? Of the hundreds of clients on this island that we provided and implemented yurts for, we have not gotten a single call to repair anything structural, all of our 350+ projects/yurt homes went through SOLID.

I really am so humbly proud of our product and the workman/workwomanship that does into every one of our projects, from the manufacturing on through to the implementation. What a beautiful thing to be a part of.

Salute to all of our clients that just went through that. Call us if you need, always! And if you have a yurt that isn't ours, you can call us too! I just helped someone figure out what kind of 20 year old yurt they have and we'll be able to help them get new covers and go another 20 years. If we can help, we will help, happily ❤️

We finished the interior construction portion of Andi's gorgeous yurt this week, just in time to beat the storm. Client will handle paint and floor varnish next week and then we'll wrap up last of county inspections. This is a 2 bedroom, 2 central bathroom design in lower Puna. I'll go take better pics soon, but here's some sneek peeks!

Ps, I love our builders but i want to train them on taking better pics 😅

As Tropical Storm Lala is headed our way, expected to have heavy rains and winds, a reminder to all those in yurt homes:

-Close your domes all the way
-Close any windows
-Secure anything in your yard or open areas that can blow around.

Andi's yurt is coming along fast now in the finishing stages. We just have 3 county inspections left to clear. Check out that awesome curved wall feature in the center!

What a great team of pros making it all happen. Once our team finishes the wall texture next week, Andi has his own painter coming to paint. Next, our tile guru will go in and tile bathrooms, some walls, and shower. Then Plumber and Electrician will finish their parts and we'll be wrapping it up until he's ready add his lanais and garage. 🥳

We were just talking about something like this at the festival recently. It was a rainy, yuck day and we were dicussing how tipis and traditional yurts accommodate open fires in their centers.

Great new product from our Team at ! We may just need to set this up at the next festival 😍

Come see us at the Experience Volcano Festival tomorrow!

This is a fun, local event where local businesses, performers, artists and non profits set
up booths/performances at across 4+ different locations throughout the Village and Volcano Golf Course. It was pretty bleak and rainy today, but there was still a decent turnout. All the kids loved getting out of the rain and into our tipi. Each year we set it up right there and gear the inside for kids, with yurt coloring pages, a mini table with mini chairs. Good fun 😁

Paul is such a delight to have on the team. He nailed this vision the client's and I had of their loft railings; Safety and beauty; Minimize the visual imposition of it all; Bring the wood in on top to stabilize and tie it all together visually. 😍 Yep, nailed it once again. Great job, Paul Rabena !

A bulk order is gearing up! We've been keeping plenty busy, but noticed economy hitting yurt sales pretty hard. This is our first bulk order of the year. It is an excellent time to get ordered because a) we have sales! b) prices are hiking again and c) when we can team clients up with others in shipping, it's major savings. Win, win, win.

I hear people concerned about the shipping, and I get it. I'm not a fan either. It's key to remember though - here we are paying it one way or another. Either stick by stick because lumber and hardware are also shipped in, not made here, or the far lesser mainland prices per stick/hardware and then the one shipping bill. Food for thought.

My little green friend, Barry agrees. He was helping me do the math. What do you think - if we dub him with a Hawaiian local accent, would a certain insurance lizard come after us? 'Ey, what brah? We stay sellin' yurts ovah hea, bodda you?' 😎🤙🏼🤙🏼
