Excited to share this Chartway Federal Credit Union – Great Neck Branch transformation!
We completed a full-scale interior and exterior renovation while keeping the branch fully operational through phased construction.

On the exterior, we applied new paint to both the roof and the previously unpainted brick, added a modern architectural facade, and installed a screen to conceal mechanical units—cladded in beautiful Fiberon Concordia Paneling. We also refreshed the parking lot with milling and overlay, new striping, and additional site enhancements.

Inside, we completed a full interior renovation executed in active phases to keep the branch operational throughout construction. This included full interior demolition, new framing and drywall systems, integrated glass partitions, and a new storefront window that replaced the existing ATM. The space now features new ceilings, flooring, lighting, casework, and millwork throughout. We also reworked the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to match the new layout, while adding enhanced employee amenities and updated breakroom.
The result is a beautiful, modern space built around maintaining daily operations and customer experience every step of the way! Thank you to the entire team that made this project a success!

We’re proud to share the completed renovation of Chartway Federal Credit Union on Raby Road. This phased interior transformation modernizes the space while maintaining daily operations for staff and members.

The project included new interior framing and glass partition systems, updated finishes and flooring, acoustical wall treatments, upgraded restrooms, a new exterior ITM canopy, and custom millwork throughout. Enhanced service areas, integrated lighting features, and coordinated branding elements create a brighter, more functional environment.

Back in 2019, we transformed the ground floor of the historic Savoy Hotel—constructed in 1907 at the intersection of Granby Street and City Hall Avenue in Norfolk—into a 3,600-square-foot retail space for Moe’s Southwest Grill. All work for this retail buildout was completed per historical guidelines and we were proud to have had a hand in this building’s revival.

Honoring the past, building for the future! Completed in 2021, The Wellington Apartments, located in Norfolk’s Ghent District, is a historic 16,000 SF 3-story brick multi-dwelling building constructed in 1914. Originally designed with six large residential units on the upper floors and two smaller basement apartments, the building features a raised basement, stuccoed brick exterior, and a flat TPO roof. Its layout includes a central stair flanked by units, with historic elements like hardwood floors, plaster walls, and double-hung sash windows still largely intact.

The rehabilitation project aimed to preserve the building’s historic character while updating it for continued residential use. Our team restored historic finishes, repaired exterior masonry and windows, and upgraded systems to include electrical, HVAC, and plumbing. Key changes in the renovation included opening the narrow galley kitchens to dining areas, reconfiguring bathrooms for modern use, and fire-rating the historic lightwell while also retaining significant features like the foyers, hardwood floors, and exterior doors, ensuring compliance with historical guidelines, with no changes to the site’s footprint or parking area. This dedication to craftsmanship and preservation earned the project the People’s Choice Award at the 2023 Preservation Awards, presented by the Norfolk Preservation Collective.

We’re thrilled to announce that our recent project has received the HRACRE Award of Merit in the category of Best Renovated or Historic Rehabilitation Project for the Professional Building in Portsmouth, VA! Our dedicated team revitalized this historic building, converting it into 42 stunning apartment units and 8 vibrant commercial spaces on the ground floor.
