From 1911 to 2026, this Colonial Place home has gotten a new lease on life. The Hardwood and Tile Installation has been a labor of love. It’s not finished just yet, but we’ve had such fun working on this beauty in phases over the last year or so, that I couldn’t wait any longer to show you the work that’s been done so far…. More pics to come when she’s finished getting her face lift.

JW has put so much love into all the tile work, all on his own, executing every detail with precision. And our hardwood team has impressed the owner with their installation and refinishing talents, as well.

The old pine floors were not in great shape so the homeowner chose to have our team install an engineered red oak and we think it’s beautiful!

We are eager for them to pull the paper off the kitchen and bath floors downstairs and to see this beautiful remodeled home with all the final details in place. 😍 call us at 757-620-4528 for a quote!

New to the area, and distraught over a leak in her new Chics Beach house, a sweet lady from NC asked a random construction crew at the North End who they knew that did floors in the area. They recommended us and she chose to do tile in her kitchen. She hasn’t been able to make a peach pie all summer due to the mess her kitchen was in. The restoration company tore everything out and left her on her own to find someone to restore the mess. I couldn’t help but want to do everything I could to get her back to normal, even offering to put her appliances back while she waited on the tile to come in. Within a few days, the tile arrived and after a week of demo and install, she loves her new kitchen floor. We used Top Step Vents to give her a flush floor vent right in the tile. Now on to the 🍑 🥧’s and 🌊 🏖️ ☀️!!! Go enjoy the rest of the summer, friend!

Sharing another Sand and Finish project we did a few months ago for a return client and friend. Originally these Kona hardwood floors (not your typical oak, but an exotic species) were a deep rich chocolate brown and they were prefinished and installed years ago. These clients wanted to repair an area and lighten the space to get it on the market for sale this summer. They turned out beautiful and this home is set to close this September. It was an honor to work on this flooring project for a dear friend of A&B Floors. What started out as a refinish and install of Brazilian Cherry turned into a total replacement with MSI’s McCarran engineered hardwood collection (9.5”x5/8”). We are grateful for the patience and understanding of our clients!

Has the dirt gotten into those grout joints and cracks on your tile floors? Sometimes we are not ready to replace our flooring for various reasons.

We installed 5” wide oak flooring in this beautiful home in Alanton. Then we sanded and finished them with a custom stain about a year ago. We also installed new treads, risers and rails. We are back now, as the the new owners want to make some layout changes in the kitchen. ❤️

We enjoyed another North End custom-build project with David Barnes of Barnes Construction Group! We installed a 7” x 3/4” Engineered Select Grade White Oak, then sanded and finished the floors using the natural color of oak (no stain, just Loba Prime sealer) and finished it with Loba’s Satin Water-Based Finish.

Gary custom made each floating landing to match the floating stair treads. We love working with David and his team of talented craftsmen! This house is state of the art! What a beauty!
