Traditionally, fast isn’t considered better…unless you’re talking about ECC. When working on military infrastructure, we don’t choose between speed, safety, and quality. We deliver it all. It’s a win for everyone, especially the client.

Eastern Coast Construction is thrilled to announce the completion of a 170,000+ sq.ft. roofing and building restoration at the Army Defense Supply Center (DSCR) which we delivered three months ahead of schedule.

Building 32’s history dates to the 1940s; however, over the course of its lifespan, it required various renovations before decaying roof membranes pushed the structure to the end of its service life.

ECC stepped in with a comprehensive design-bid-build overhaul to bring this building back to life.

The full scope involved:

Massive EPDM Roof Overhaul: Full replacement of the primary and lower roof systems, including expansion joints, flashing, roof drains, downspouts, and integrated skylight seals.

Turnkey Facility Integration: Handled everything from hazmat abatement and piping pe*******on in-kind replacements to ladder, conduit, and equipment curb retrofits.

MEP Care & Protection: Successfully detached, stored, and reinstalled active ventilators, mini-splits, and control units without interrupting essential systems.

Exterior Restoration: Patched, repaired, and repainted adjacent metal panels, louvers, masonry surfaces, and timber deck structures.

This restoration brought Building 32 back to full operational status with a fully integrated weather-tight system a quarter ahead of schedule. This success speaks to our crews standards on every build and our ability to complete massive projects with speed and efficiency.

We’re grateful to build for DSCR and their trust in our partnership to support our nation’s Armed Forces.

Knowing how to innovate within the constraints of clients and structures is a coveted skill. Good construction isn’t only about following the specs. It’s just the beginning to the process of a successful design-build.

When ECC came on board for the Two Rivers CC project to deliver the complete wood truss and siding package, we saw an opportunity early on to optimize the build.

Instead of sticking to the original high-cost metal truss design, our team value-engineered the project into an engineered wood truss assembly early on into the project. The result? Significant cost savings for the client, faster project delivery, and zero compromise on structural integrity or architectural vision. Everyone wins with ECC. Some core highlights from the scope include:

Division 06 (Wood & Composites): Complete turn-key package from design, fabrication, and er****on of engineered roof trusses to complex soffit/cornice framing, OSB sheathing, fire blocking, and composite columns. Fully tied into existing assemblies with compliant hardware, hold-downs, and structural fasteners.

Division 07 (Thermal & Moisture Protection): Full exterior envelope deployment. Built out a high-performance system utilizing rigid insulation, air/water barriers, z-girts, sheet metal flashing, and James Hardie fiber-cement lap siding with composite trims. Vinyl siding and custom round louver detailing at the rear mansard roof.

Division 08 (Openings): ECC provided Precision trim integration and detail management around all windowing and doors, ensuring weather-tight, visually uniform transitions between new and existing conditions. This includes layout, field verification, scaffolding and staging, coordination with other trades, and adherence to strict material-handling procedures due to limited site laydown areas.

From start to finish, our field team executed a fully integrated, weather resistant, dependable structure while keeping the core integrity of Two Rivers original conditions. Because of our proactive approach to design-build our client’s project has added another marker of success to their record.

Huge thanks to our general contractor and project partners for trusting our design-build approach.

At Eastern Coast Construction, we take immense pride in our self-performing capabilities, diligent mindset, and our no nonsense commitment to delivering every project with efficiency, speed, and top-tier quality. Our team pushes themselves daily to surpass expectations, pouring deep expertise and personal dedication into every venture we build.

However, all work and no play isn’t our motto.

As a tight knit family-owned business, we believe supporting our team’s quality of life means promoting healthy work-life balance and creating outside opportunities to unwind from the job site. We’re a team rooted in our community values. Fostering genuine connections with local businesses, partners, and neighbors is at the core of what we do.

Our recent outing at TopGolf with our trade partners at RoofMax was the perfect event that showcased this spirit. It was a fantastic evening for colleagues, local partners, friends, and family to gather for some friendly rounds of golf, great conversation, and relaxed networking. Functions like these allow us to strengthen our existing relationships and bridge new ones which makes our work so much more rewarding.

Bringing History Back to Life:

As our nation continues to reflect on its recent historic milestone, Eastern Coast Construction is proud to celebrate the completion of our revitalization project at NASA Langley Research Center’s historic Building 1244!

Building 1244 is legendary for its immense contributions to the Space Race. It once hosted complex spacecraft docking training for the Gemini and Apollo space missions, with the original Rendezvous Docking Simulator preserved in its rafters and now continues operations today housing a fleet of research aircrafts and unmanned aerial vehicles.

We were selected to “bring history back to life” on the South Hangar doors of this National Historical Landmark, prepping the facility to serve as the new home for NASA’s B777 aircraft. Our crew successfully navigated the complex removal of lead paint, completely re-coating approximately 7,200 square feet of the massive main and tail hangar doors, window sashes, and mullions. We also replaced over 9,700 linear feet of glazing putty. However, the crowning achievement of this project was the meticulous restoration of the iconic NASA logo to its original, vivid glory. It has been an absolute honor for Eastern Coast Construction to help revitalize this incredible legacy while preparing the structure for aviation’s future.

A massive thank you to our dedicated team for their hardworking on this historic job site. Check out the rich history of this incredible facility here: https://lnkd.in/ejMGRBg8

At Eastern, we focus a lot of our energy on presenting our quality builds, high standards, and durability to our audience. However, it’s holidays like Father’s Day that consistently remind us of our roots and the pride we have for our team.
Much like building a strong structural foundation, shaping the future takes dedication. As a family-owned business, our legacy isn’t just in the success we’ve built through our projects. It’s the people who have built up Eastern with their knowledge, expertise, and craftsmanship. More than that, the memorable relationships created over many years between people of all different backgrounds and walks of life are what truly lifts us up to greater heights.
This Father’s Day, we’d like to celebrate all the hardworking, dedicated fathers, mentors, and leaders on our job sites and front office. Without your grit, guidance, and unique dynamics, we wouldn’t be able to prosper as a family-oriented company the way we do. Thank you to every father on site who brings their best to the field every day to help us lay the groundwork for our success.
From our team to your home, Happy Father’s Day!

Acquiring and maintaining a fleet of top-tier machinery isn’t merely for appearances. It’s about a commitment to high safety standards, sustaining trust with our sub-contracting partners, and remaining ready to freely mobilize at a moment’s notice.

Our new telescopic handler brings our modern equipment force to three, marking another milestone in Eastern’s internal expansion. Its time-saving abilities enable our certified crew to continue self-performing at the highest level. This powerhouse piece works in tandem with our crane, allowing the duo to perfectly erect structural steel framing at a massive 10,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art modern beachfront estate, where spatial constraints and limited movement requires careful consideration.

More than anything, owning our equipment means we own our time and capital. Having dedicated gear in-house helps eliminates the loss of daily momentum and streamlines project operations.

Eastern Coast Construction remains dedicated to expanding our organization and creating strong future ventures.

In June of 1775, the thirteen colonies united in Philadelphia as political protest shifted to outright armed conflict against Great Britain. On June 14, 1775, the Second Continental Congress met at Independence Hall in Philadelphia and voted to officially form the Continental Army to unite the colonies' combined defense efforts. The next day, George Washington is unanimously elected to be Commander-in-Chief. Over the course of the Revolutionary War, more than 231,000 men served in the Army, while another 145,000 colonial militia members fought alongside them.
As the oldest and largest active-duty branch in the US military, established one year before the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Army remains defined by the many brave service members from all walks of life who courageously stand at our nation’s defense.
Eastern remembers the soldiers who gave their lives in service for our Nation, and we honor our veterans and service members who stand as a testament of this dedication. We remain committed to supporting this legacy by delivering secure, high-quality operational facilities that sustain critical foundations used every day by service members.
Happy Birthday to the U.S. Army!

Our nation’s flag goes by different names: Old Glory, the Star-Spangled Banner, The Red, White, and Blue, and The Stars and Stripes. Each colorful variety highlights its historic origins and patriotic spirit. The flag we know today looked a little different on June 14, 1777, when the thirteen stars and stripes, representing the newly independent colonies, were officially adopted by the Continental Congress to signify “a new Constellation.”
At Eastern, our flag’s symbol of unity and hope is something we hold close to our hearts. We’ve proudly integrated this enduring symbol into our new corporate logo to showcase its beauty, our nation’s resilience, and Eastern’s ongoing commitment to delivering specialized federal and military infrastructure projects at the highest standards of reliability and durability. Happy Flag Day from the Eastern Coast Construction Team!
