Traditionally, fast isn’t considered better…unless you’re talking about ECC. When working on military infrastructure, we don’t choose between speed, safety, and quality. We deliver it all. It’s a win for everyone, especially the client.
Eastern Coast Construction is thrilled to announce the completion of a 170,000+ sq.ft. roofing and building restoration at the Army Defense Supply Center (DSCR) which we delivered three months ahead of schedule.
Building 32’s history dates to the 1940s; however, over the course of its lifespan, it required various renovations before decaying roof membranes pushed the structure to the end of its service life.
ECC stepped in with a comprehensive design-bid-build overhaul to bring this building back to life.
The full scope involved:
Massive EPDM Roof Overhaul: Full replacement of the primary and lower roof systems, including expansion joints, flashing, roof drains, downspouts, and integrated skylight seals.
Turnkey Facility Integration: Handled everything from hazmat abatement and piping pe*******on in-kind replacements to ladder, conduit, and equipment curb retrofits.
MEP Care & Protection: Successfully detached, stored, and reinstalled active ventilators, mini-splits, and control units without interrupting essential systems.
Exterior Restoration: Patched, repaired, and repainted adjacent metal panels, louvers, masonry surfaces, and timber deck structures.
This restoration brought Building 32 back to full operational status with a fully integrated weather-tight system a quarter ahead of schedule. This success speaks to our crews standards on every build and our ability to complete massive projects with speed and efficiency.
We’re grateful to build for DSCR and their trust in our partnership to support our nation’s Armed Forces.
