Quick little attempt of a spider rehab. This one was SO soggy and mushy. Poor thing is trying to climb out of the mud lol.
Luckily there were still some decent tubers in there so all hope is not lost. Also luckily, the potting mix I use is really hard to overwater with and should yield good results as long as it's not being watered 74 times a day. She belongs to a LTC resident so who knows what happens after this πŸ™ƒ

It's in a little 3-4in pot with a saucer inside the hanging pot - ain't no way I was going to put what was left of that root system in a 6in vessel.

Anywho, maybe this will end well and we'll meet again when it needs a bigger pot. Fingers crossed. 😊

As promised, my black bat flower 😊 Root check in and repot today, now we wait til it's done being hot outside lol.

Well, I'm already massively stocked on tons of different snake plants but there will be more laurentii babies early this week. I'm using the pots I have so big momma needs to lose some baby weight and I also need to obtain more dirt πŸ˜‚

On the upside, she didn't fall over one time this year!

I'm open early!
Figured I'd let you all know since I'm wandering around outside anyways πŸ˜‚ Doesn't make sense to clean the house when I still have plants to move back in lol.

Don't come running just yet but I have 5 black and 5 white baby bat plants in my tent currently.
I also got my hands on a larger one earlier this summer to get some more extensive personal experience to relay to you guys, because rumor has it they can be finicky. So far, mine's been happy outside under the patio aka don't let the sun touch it and all of them are tolerating Virden water just fine. No blooms yet but they generally don't occur til they're 2-3 years old. It'll be one of the last ones to go inside because humidity is key and I'm not ready to run the humidifier inside yet lol.

Anyways, sorry I haven't ever posted about it before, I'll be better about updates on it from now on lol. I love these guys so much I have one tattooed on me so the commitment is real πŸ˜‚

Global Green Pothos - figured I'd give these a shot because I've never seen them in real life before lol. Pretty easy care and low maintenance, more light = better color/variegation, just not full sun. As for water - personally, I let my pothos dry out almost completely before a good drenching but I would definitely wait til the pot is at least 75% dry if you're more attentive πŸ˜…

Geogenanthus poeppigii - but we're definitely gonna stick with "seersucker plant" because I have the magic ability to spell complicated words but not pronounce them πŸ˜‚

Keep 'er moist, warm, and humid - tolerates anything but full sun but does well in low light situations. Slow to moderate growth, stays compact and trails/crawls to about 24in. Puts out new little baby shoots on its own via rhizomes. Honestly I'd say this is a much more tolerable and controllable replacement for purple Tradescantia.

4 available, $25 each with tax included 😊

Look how shiny 😍

And this is your official notice that more personal plants will be hitting the store soon. Apparently everything grew outside a lot better than I thought it did this summer and I really don't know where or how everything is going to fit back in the house. I've barely put a dent in the back-inside move and I'm already panicking lol

*yes I love having a lot of plants but I do have my limits πŸ˜‚
