O’Connell Electric’s CEO, Michael Parkes, recently participated in a national Grid Modernization panel at the ELECTRI International Summer Council Meeting in Dearborn, Michigan.

The discussion explored how growing energy demand, data centers, AI, electrification, and aging infrastructure are driving investment in America's power grid, and the important role electrical contractors will play in building the future.

A home fit for a warrior.

O’Connell Electric was proud to partner with Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors in helping complete a home for Private First Class Phil Bauer.

Several members of our team attended the frame signing event and had the privilege of meeting Phil and learning more about his journey. Being part of a project that will provide a veteran with a safe, accessible place to call home is something we are truly grateful for.

Supporting those who have sacrificed for our country is an honor, and we’re thankful to have played a role in making this house a home.

Thank you, Phil Bauer, for your service, and thank you to Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors for the incredible work you do every day.

First full month of summer ✅
Look back at June with us!

1-7: Our offices have welcomed summer with good food and great company! Pictured is Victor HQ enjoying an outside BBQ and ice cream truck, while our Procurement team hosted their own garbage plate buffet for the Construction Services crew.

8-9: Our testing technicians were on site at the second largest water treatment plant in New York state.

10-11: Site tour around RED Rochester with members of the safety team.

12-13: Two of our VPs, Rob Miller and Brian Rittenhouse, and our Director of Marketing and Business Development, John Miller, had the opportunity to be part of the a frame signing event hosted by Jared Allen's Homes for Wounded Warriors. O'Connell Electric was proud to partner with to provide electrical materials and additional support needed to complete this home for PFC Phil Bauer. More to come from this!

14-16: With the warmer weather comes more site visits for the marketing team. From inside electrical jobs to outside line crews, we've been capturing it all.

“Are these from prefab?” … “Yup!”

While walking a job site, we found these prefabricated duct bank racks being installed and had to take a closer look.

Built off-site at O’Connell’s prefabrication shop and delivered ready to go, they’re a great example of working smarter not harder.

With projects like these that require many of the same components, utilizing our prefab shop is an excellent way to streamline installations, reduce time and friction in the field, and keep projects running smoothly.

The Hanover Square Fountain renovation is complete! Our team helped upgrade the lighting and electrical systems to enhance both performance and appearance.

Project Manager Pete Tomushunas led the re-engineering of wiring and underground conduit, delivering a clean, fully concealed installation.

We’re proud to help bring new life to this downtown Syracuse landmark.
