Giving back to someone special in our community 💚

At Benson Landscape & Design, our community means the world to us. This season, we’re honored to support Ryder Maciaszek and his family.

If you’re able, we invite you to learn more about their story and lend a hand through their GoFundMe page: https://gofund.me/16ac55752

Every bit of support, big or small, makes a difference. Thank you for being part of this community with us.

Privacy with Purpose

Large planting projects like this one make all the difference on a lakeview property. We installed a series of arborvitaes to create natural privacy screening while maintaining sight lines to the water — a balance that takes careful planning.

The before, during, and after photos show the progression: mature plantings that'll keep growing and strengthening the landscape for years to come.

If you're thinking about adding structure and privacy to your yard, we'd like to hear about it. Most projects start with a conversation — give us a call. 585-248-0452

Fall is the BEST time for planting — start with the bones of your landscape.

Trees and shrubs establish stronger root systems in cool fall weather. Plant now, and you'll have a mature framework in place before next summer's heat arrives.

Think about what will anchor your property: shade trees for future summers, evergreens for winter structure, flowering shrubs that define your beds. Fall planting means these plants are ready to thrive when spring heat kicks in.

Our team can help you choose the right species for your space, site them for impact, and plant them properly so they settle in strong.

Ready to build your landscape's foundation? Call 585.248.0452 to discuss trees and shrubs that work for your property.

Plant of the Month: Gatsby Glow Ball Oakleaf Hydrangea

Compact. Elegant. Built to perform.

The Gatsby Glow Ball brings all the charm of an oakleaf hydrangea in a tidy, mounded form that works beautifully in any garden. Creamy white flowers bloom all season, aging to soft pink as temperatures cool — a natural color show that needs no replanting.

Plant it in a bed where it'll catch morning light, pair it with ornamental grasses, or anchor a corner planting. It handles partial shade and adapts to most soils. With our PlantCare program, your hydrangea thrives with seasonal pruning and nutrient applications timed right.

This is the plant you choose when you want reliable beauty without the fuss.

Ready to add one to your landscape? Talk to our team about placement, ongoing care, and how PlantCare keeps your plantings looking their best year after year.

See the work in action in our latest video. This is the kind of attention you get when you partner with Benson.

🦅 Pure beauty captured right here in our own backyard! Shawn Ballone, our Construction & Installation Operations Manager, snapped this incredible moment while fishing on Honeoye Lake this weekend.

The American Bald Eagle — a symbol of freedom, strength, and resilience since 1782. Once nearly driven to extinction, this majestic bird came all the way back. If that's not inspiring, we don't know what is. 🇺🇸

Thank you, Shawn, for sharing this with us!

Paintbrushes down, chopsticks up! 🎨🥢 Our office crew traded spreadsheets for ceramics yesterday at Color Me Mine, then topped it off with a team dinner at Chen Garden. Safe to say there's some serious hidden talent in this group! We had the best time and can't wait to do it again. This is the Benson team behind the scenes — and we love what we do AND who we do it with! 💜
