Here is a custom built-in we recently completed for a wonderful homeowner.

The homeowner wanted to customize her space while keeping room for a daybed. She had specific features in mind, so we worked with her on a design that incorporated plenty of open shelving for display and storage.

The built-in makes better use of the wall while giving the room a more finished and intentional look. The homeowner managed the painting, and we love how the blue finish complements the rest of the room.

Thank you to this homeowner for trusting us to help bring her vision for the space to life!

If you're considering a custom built-in or other woodworking project, we're happy to discuss the options. We are currently experiencing longer than usual lead times, so we recommend reaching out early.

Here is a bathroom remodel we recently completed for some wonderful homeowners.

The homeowners wanted to update their existing bathroom with a more functional and modern shower. We replaced the tub/shower combo with a fiberglass shower and sliding glass shower door. We also installed new tile flooring, a new vanity and lighting, added custom shelving beside the vanity, and finished the space with fresh paint.

We love how much brighter and more refreshed this bathroom feels after the remodel! Thank you to these homeowners for trusting us to help bring their vision for their bathroom to life.

If you're considering a bathroom or kitchen update, a new shower, tile work, or custom carpentry, we're happy to discuss the options.

Here is a kitchen cabinetry project we recently completed in a beautiful Amish-built barndominium.

We filled the empty kitchen space with quality shaker cabinets. The homeowners have done an amazing job with the design and whitewashed the wood walls themselves! We love seeing their vision for their home come to life. Thank you to this family for trusting us to help build part of their dream home!

If you're considering a kitchen or bathroom update, an upcoming new construction project, or have custom cabinetry needs, we're happy to discuss the options.

Here's a fireplace project we recently finished that included a bit of custom problem-solving.

This fireplace didn't have a finished surround, so we installed these Delft-inspired tiles to add some character and complement the existing wood mantel. The small patterned tiles required careful layout and alignment around the existing firebox to keep the pattern consistent and the finished surround balanced.

We also modified a pull-down projector screen so we could install it upside down and hide it inside the existing mantel. We built a discreet hinged panel into the top of the mantel that temporarily folds out of the way to access the screen.

To use it, the screen pulls upward and hooks near the ceiling. Once it's in place, the hinged panel can fold back down, keeping the mantel looking finished while the screen is in use. The panel is also sturdy enough to support decor, so the top of the mantel remains fully functional.

We really enjoyed bringing the tile and custom details together in a way that added function without taking away from the character of the fireplace.

If you have a remodeling, tile, or custom carpentry project in mind, we'd be happy to help!

Here's a custom bathroom we really enjoyed working on.

This project included heated tile floors throughout the bathroom and a custom shower with large-format tile, pebble mosaic flooring, and dual recessed niches.

One of our favorite parts is seeing everything come together. A lot of work gets covered up before the tile is ever installed, so we included a few progress photos to show some of what's behind the finished product.

If you're thinking about remodeling your bathroom, we'd be happy to help!

Last week we completed another project focused on making a home safer.

When these homeowners purchased their home, they noticed their stair railing had become loose. They were understandably concerned it could give way if someone fell against it, so they asked us to strengthen it while maintaining the look of the existing staircase.

To accomplish this, we removed a section of balusters and installed two new structural newel posts to firmly anchor the railing. Matching the existing staircase required precision carpentry to ensure the new posts blended seamlessly, the joinery was tight, and the finished result looked like it had always been part of the original design.

This was the fourth project we've completed for Greg since he purchased his home, and we're incredibly grateful for his continued trust. Thank you, Greg, for allowing us to share your review and for your kind words.

If you're considering updating your home, we'd love to help. CraftBuilt specializes in kitchen and bathroom remodels, tile, and custom carpentry, serving homeowners throughout the Central Kentucky region.

Last week we wrapped up another bathroom update, helping transform this space with a new vanity, quartz countertop, faucets, and mirrors.

We started by removing the original vanity and mirror. After the homeowners repaired the drywall and gave the room a fresh coat of paint, we returned to install the new double vanity, quartz countertop, faucets, and individual mirrors. We love seeing how even a focused update like this can breathe new life into a home.

Thank you to these homeowners for trusting us with their project. We hope they enjoy their refreshed bathroom for years to come.

Here's a look at two front porch column projects we completed using different materials to create a more substantial, custom look.

The first project features GenStone faux stone veneer, while the second showcases natural cedar column wraps with cultured stone bases. Although the materials are different, both projects started with the same goal: transforming plain structural posts into architectural features that complement the home.

Projects like these require more than simply covering an existing post. Every measurement, trim detail, and stone layout is carefully planned so the finished columns look balanced, proportionate, and like they were built that way from the start.

These kinds of projects are especially enjoyable because relatively small changes can make such a dramatic difference in a home's curb appeal.

If you've been thinking about updating your porch, we'd be happy to talk through the options and help you find an approach that fits both your home and your budget.

America turns 250.

For two and a half centuries, our nation has persevered through hardship, sacrifice, and challenge. Though we continue to face challenges today, we celebrate the liberties secured by those who came before us and remain thankful for the freedom to worship, speak, and build a better future for our families.

From our family at CraftBuilt to yours, Happy Independence Day.

Long before CraftBuilt existed, we had a vision for the kind of family life we wanted to build.

We wanted a business that would allow us to be present with our children, homeschool them, be there for the important moments, and one day invite them into the work alongside us.

That vision is what led Ryan to leave engineering—not because he simply wanted to own a business, but because he wanted to become a craftsman and family man.

This week, we got our first glimpse of that vision.

Our oldest daughter spent part of the day on a jobsite with Ryan. She was excited to help, and our customer made the experience even more special with their kindness.

Moments like this remind us why CraftBuilt exists.

We're grateful to every homeowner who has trusted us with their home. Your support allows us to do work we care deeply about while building the kind of family business we've dreamed about for many years. Thank you for being part of that story.
