AES was recently contacted to help bring this outdated fuse box up to date with a new load center with a main breaker, required by code, and required breakers. Along with updating the distribution equipment we addressed bringing the grounding for this customer outbuilding up to code as well. We added a grounding electrode system by driving ground rods into the soil outside the building and running a grounding electrode conductor into the panel. We also addressed separating the neutral conductors from the grounding conductors, again per code, for the safe operations of the equipment and safety of the customer and their property.
