McCarthy Companies was proud to join Ventura Housing and community partners in celebrating the Welcome Home milestone at Valentine Road Apartments. Transforming a former La Quinta Inn into 134 supportive housing units for individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Made possible through $32 million in state funding and strong public-private collaboration, Valentine Road provides not only housing, but on-site supportive services that help residents thrive.

This week, McCarthy will also install a Little Free Library on-site, created through our team’s participation in the Housing Trust Fund Ventura County Compassion Campaign. Designed with a dedicated section for support animals, the library was selected specifically for Valentine Road, where pets play an important role in many residents’ well-being.

We’re honored to be part of a project that is changing lives and strengthening the community.

Developed in partnership with Montgomery Street Partners (MSP) and McCarthy Companies, this 95-unit Build-to-Rent (BTR) neighborhood in Garden City, Idaho bridges the gap between homeownership and traditional multifamily housing. McCarthy is leading the effort through investment analysis, strategic planning, zoning and permitting, and construction management to help deliver a cohesive, high-quality residential experience.

The 47,165-square-foot development includes one- and two-bedroom homes, community and laundry spaces on both floors, supportive services offices, and welcoming common areas.
