Splash Pool Leak Detection

Unfortunately, this one was not a “just change the bulb” situation.
Old light niche out, new niche installed, and the original light back in place. Just a couple of brothers turning a small hole into a bigger hole, then making it small again.

Back from vacation and apparently somebody missed us enough to build a skimmer bunker.
This one was wrapped in concrete and rebar all the way to the bottom.
Because when concrete cracks, the obvious solution is to pour so much of it around the skimmer that future generations need an excavator to replace it.
Rebar too, just in case the plastic box tried to escape.
They built it like Fort Knox.
It still cracked.
We still got it out.

Another handrail install in the books. 🔧
Pool pros, question for the class: How are you guys attaching your handrails to the existing bond wire? Lugs, clamps, another method?
We’ve got our way of doing it, but I’m curious what everyone else is using in the field. Drop your setup in the comments — bonus points for pictures.

New phone, who dis? 📱💦
Testing out the new underwater phone case and getting you an even better look at what’s actually happening below the surface.
Here at Splash, we’re always finding new ways to get clearer footage, better documentation, and a front-row seat to the leaks we find.
And yes… apparently our phones are scuba certified now too. 🤿

💦 Commercial Pool Leak Located

Today’s leak wasn’t in the pool shell—it was hiding in the gutter line.

Commercial pools have a lot more plumbing than your average backyard pool, and gutter systems can move a serious amount of water. When one of those lines develops a leak underground, the water loss can add up fast.

We isolated and pressure tested the gutter plumbing, then used our listening equipment to pinpoint the leak underground so the repair can be made without unnecessarily tearing up the deck.

Another leak found. Another mystery solved. 🔎💧

Commercial Pool Friday 💦
Nothing says Friday like doing commercial pool leak detection and getting up close and personal with all the mysterious things floating around in a community pool.
Sunscreen slicks, mystery hair, abandoned Band-Aids, and a few things we’ve collectively decided are better left unidentified… all while tracking down where the pool is losing water.
Some people get casual Friday.
We get community pool soup.
At least we found the leak. 😂
Splash Pool Leak Detection provides professional pool leak detection and leak-related repairs throughout Venice, Sarasota, Wellen Park, North Port, Englewood, Bradenton, and surrounding Southwest Florida.
