This customer has a home standby generator that we installed about 10 years ago. It started smoking really bad and running rough and shutting down so we went out to diagnose it. We found out that the generator had a burnt valve which caused oil to get into the intake and burn. We replaced both cylinder heads with all new components and the generator runs like new. The customer should get another 10 to 15 years out of this generator and peace of mind knowing he will always have power even when it goes out everywhere else.
