Happy Saturday!

Here are the questions to answer for our Paint-It Forward giveaway. You may submit your nomination via messenger to Advanced Painting or Charlie's Paint. Just make sure you include all of this information. The other option is to fill this out and take it in to Charlie's Paint.

Applications will be accepted until April 14th. The winner will be selected April 15th and the job will be done at the end of April or the beginning of May, depending on the weather.

Advanced Painting & Charlie's Paint and Decorating are teaming up to do our first annual Paint-It Forward giveaway.

We are gifting a FREE paint job for a person or non-profit organization in need. This includes all of the paint, labor and supplies. Applications will be accepted from now until April 14th. The winner will be selected April 15th and the job will be done at the end of April or the beginning of May, depending on the weather. Submit applications via messenger (Advanced Painting or Charlie's Paint and Decorating) or in store at Charlie's Paint. The application for submitting via messenger can be found in the comments of this post.

We have a desire to help others in need and be a service to our community. We want our lives and our businesses to reflect these values. Please join us and nominate someone or an organization!

Here's a little painting humor to start off your weekend!

REPENT O SCOTTISH SINNER...

There was a Scottish painter named Smokey Macgregor, who was very interested in making a penny where he could, he often thinned down his paint to make it go a wee bit further.

As it happened, he got away with this for some time, but eventually the Baptist Church decided to do a big restoration job on the outside of their large building.

Smokey put in a bid, & because his price was so low, he got the job. So he set about erecting the scaffolding & setting up the planks & buying the paint & yes, I am sorry to say, thinning it down with water...

Well, Smokey was up on the scaffolding, painting away, the job nearly completed, when suddenly there was a horrendous clap of thunder, the sky opened, & the rain poured down,
washing the thinned paint from all over the church, & knocking Smokey clear off the scaffold to land on the lawn among the gravestones, surrounded by telltale puddles of the thinned & useless paint.

Smokey was no fool. He knew this was a judgment from the Almighty, so he got down on his knees & cried:

"Oh, God, Oh God, forgive me; what should I do?"

And from the thunder, a mighty voice spoke..
(you're going to love this)

"Repaint! Repaint! And thin no more.

I can hear you groaning from here.....but it made me laugh.....🙂
