Before the load-bearing walls came down, every detail of this layout was thoroughly mapped out in pre-construction. Taking down walls and opening up sightlines requires careful engineering and a structured plan so there are never any surprises for the homeowner.
The original space had charm, but the tired gray cabinets and cramped layout were no longer serving the family’s daily routine. We looked at how they actually cook, gather, and move through the space to design a floor plan built for long-term living.
Demolition day is where the real transformation begins, but a smooth build relies on clear organization and constant communication. With the roof opened up for structural framing, our team moved quickly to keep the project running seamlessly on schedule.
Here is the finished product, fully opened up and designed for real life. We installed bright white slim shaker cabinets along the perimeter, a 4’x8’ natural wood island, and durable quartz countertops. The custom maple fluted hood vent, under-cabinet lighting, and modern matte tile backsplash give this space a clean, timeless balance.
