FOX 4 reports that North Texas contractor Jeremy Jerod Zeno has been sentenced to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty to stealing more than $300,000 from clients. Customers described paying thousands for projects that were left unfinished, followed by excuses and unanswered calls. According to the report, victims haven’t recovered their money.

For homeowners, it’s a heartbreaking reminder to check references, verify insurance, and get the scope of work and payment schedule in writing before a project begins.

Severe thunderstorms struck North Texas on September 21, 2025, bringing 70 mph wind gusts, up to 2-inch hail, and destructive winds that damaged warehouses and homes, overturned vehicles, and caused a fatality in Sanger.
