Are you living in northwest Indiana and looking to replace your invasive tree (i.e. Callery/Bradford pear) with a native tree? Property owners who show proof of removal of an invasive tree on their private property within the Little Calumet-Galien watershed are eligible to receive one free native tree at a replacement tree distribution event next month! Replacement tree distribution events will be held at at Northwestern Indiana Regional Planning Commission (6100 Southport Rd, Portage, IN 46368) on the following dates:

Friday, September 26, 2025 from 4-6pm and
Saturday, September 27 from 10am-12pm
