We Care. We Lead.
Recently, Valley Corp Vice President Jeff Grady and Senior Project Manager Tanner Almery traveled to Washington, D.C. to represent Nebraska's utility contractors at NUCA's annual Washington Summit. Jeff also serves as the current president of NUCA of Nebraska, and the two went to make sure Nebraska's congressional delegation understands what is at stake for our state's water and wastewater infrastructure.
At the center of their conversations was the State Revolving Fund, the federal program that finances clean water lines, sanitary sewers, and storm systems across Nebraska. A current budget proposal would cut that funding by nearly 90 percent. That is a proposal, not a final decision. Our elected representatives appreciated learning our perspectives as leaders in the construction industry.
Projects right here in our own state depend on this funding, from wastewater work in Plattsmouth to lead service line replacements across the Omaha metro.
We are proud to keep showing up for Nebraska.

From underground utilities to time in the shop, Josh has put in the work across multiple areas of our operation before finding his niche in heavy equipment. That kind of growth does not happen by accident. It takes curiosity, commitment, and a willingness to keep showing up.
Congratulations, Josh! We're grateful for your hard work and proud to have you on the team.

Valley Corp was proud to be part of the "Hard Hat Week" Proclamation Ceremony recently in support of this great initiative.
Hard Hat Week is a coordinated effort by the Nebraska Construction Industry Council (NCIC) and its member associations to recognize students stepping into construction careers and to highlight the importance of expanding our workforce pipeline. Supporting the next generation of construction workers and leaders is vital to our state's future, and we're proud to back efforts like this.
Thank you to Governor Pillen, NUCA of Nebraska, and NCIC for bringing the industry together around something that matters.

Recently, a few of the ladies from Valley Corp, along with our friends at TJ Cable, traded their desks for seats in a suite at Charles Schwab Field.
While the home team Creighton Bluejays didn't come out on top, it was a great afternoon of catching up, talking shop, and enjoying a little time outside the office together. Moments like these remind us that the relationships we build are as important as the work we do back in Valley.
Thanks to Blue Cross Blue Shield and FNIC Omaha for hosting us!

2026 marks 5 years that James Mahon has been part of the Valley Corp team. Over the years, he played a key role in coordinating equipment and materials alongside our dear friend and colleague, Al Hagemann, ensuring crews had what they needed when they needed it, often before they even asked. His recent promotion to Shop Manager reflects the strong work ethic, reliability, and trust he has built here over the years.
James takes his role seriously, but his quick wit, sharp sense of humor, and dynamic personality make every day a little more enjoyable around here.
Congratulations, James! Thank you for 5 years of hard work, teamwork, and laughs. We look forward to many more.

Valley Corp was proud to attend UNO's Construction Programs Annual Awards and Recognition Banquet this year as a Silver Sponsor, and it was a night worth celebrating.
Four members of our own team are UNO alumni: Project Managers John Schleppenbach and Darren Elliott, Senior Project Manager Ben Jambor, and Edvin Cortave. So when the opportunity came to support this event, it was an easy “yes!"
As a table sponsor, we were invited to present a centerpiece. With the help of Murphy Tractor and Butler Ag, which provided scaled equipment models, our team put together a display that represents what Valley Corp does every day. It ended up being one of the highlights of the night and was raffled off during the banquet.
Getting to spend an evening with professors, industry colleagues, and the next generation of construction leaders was genuinely energizing. These students have bright futures ahead of them, and we are glad to play a small role in supporting that journey.
Thank you to UNO and everyone who made the evening such a great event.
