If you have brand new gutters, it’s still important to step outside and observe them to make sure they’re working 💧 These gutters had gutter and they’re still getting clogged with debris from trees🌳 Gutter guards don’t mean maintenance free. Also notice the area where a downspout from a lower roof is adjoining the upper roof downspout? The area where they come together is backflowing water and not functioning properly. This home has upgraded 5 inch gutters, but the downspouts are for a 4 inch gutter 📏 if you see this, know larger downspouts should be installed.

This client noticed pooling outside their home causing leaks inside💧🏡 The pooling was caused by settlement on the concrete sidewalk and poor grading not flowing away from the home. It’s also caused by downspouts that aren’t properly routed away from the foundation.
