The most important part of any deck is the foundation — even though you never see it.

We augered holes and poured the footings making sure everything is level, accurate, and ready for the build. A solid start means a solid project.

We don’t build decks, but we work with Dietch Construction and they’ve build a deck or 2.

Need post holes dug? We’ve got you.

We've been a little quiet on here because we've been busy taking care of our customers while also spending our free time learning and expanding our services.

Over the past several months, we've put in countless hours of training to become certified and continue our education in septic system installation. Most recently, we attended a class covering sand filter septic systems, which are commonly used in southern Iowa because of the area's heavy clay soils.

We're excited to now be offering septic system installations throughout Iowa. Whether you need a new system or it's time to replace an old one, we'd be happy to help.

A big thank you to DMACC for its commitment to providing continuing education for septic installers and sanitarians. Training like this helps ensure quality installations, protects public health, and promotes a healthier environment through proper septic practices.

Time of Transfer (TOT) Septic Inspections

Selling your home or property that's on septic? In most cases a Time of Transfer inspection is required before closing and must be completed by a DNR Certified Inspector.

We're proud to now offer certified TOT inspections with the same reliable service you expect from us.

Now just watering and wait for it to grow. Might need some overseeding come fall which most new grass does.

Finishing up this seasons hydroseed.

Not as green as some of the other pictures you’ve seen?
Probably because we were spraying dirt out of the tank.
Not really… but kind of.
We can supply products that help replace what good topsoil provides. We thought this soil might have been lacking a little food for the grass, so we gave it some extra nutrients to chew on while it gets established.
Every yard is different. Some need a little more help than others, and that’s where experience comes in. We have solutions to help you get the yard you want—you just have to trust the process.
We’ve had many successful jobs with proper aftercare, and we do everything we can to set our clients up for the best chance of success.

Photos are exactly 1 month apart today!

I let Mother Nature do about 80% of the watering for these results!

For my own trial and error, I drove a riding lawn mower over this area during week 2 every few days, making sharp turns to see if I could disturb the hydroseed or stunt the growth. We definitely do not recommend treating a newly seeded lawn this way.

Despite the lack of attention this area received, it still turned out great!
Fall is right around the corner, and we book FAST. Growing grass is a process, and getting started early gives you the best chance for success.

At Dietch Earthworks, we use high-quality products without cutting corners. We don’t skip steps, and we work with homeowners to find the best solution for their budget.
