We’re excited to officially welcome car enthusiast and Site Superintendent, Michael Flores, to the WarrenBuilds team!

With 12+ years in construction, OSHA 1030 training, First Aid/CPR/AED certifications, and hands-on field leadership experience, Michael brings a strong focus on coordination, safety, and teamwork to the WB crew.

Michael joined WarrenBuilds after hearing from a current colleague about the company culture and team environment—and wasted no time jumping in, kicking off his first project with us on Phase 1 of the Orioles Park renovation project.

A few things you should know about Michael:
🍳 His go-to meal? A granola bar or Chick-fil-A
🎮 Unwinds by spending time with his son, working out, or gaming after work
🛠️ Loves learning new things in Bluebeam

WarrenBuilds was proud to volunteer at one of the four annual Maryland Construction Career Days hosted by Maryland Center for Construction Education & Innovation(MCCEI).

Kwesi Akoto is joined with Andy Kobus and Thomas (TJ) Hance, MBA. It takes a village to show what's possible. Over 1,000 high schoolers joined us to explore construction, engineering, and architecture careers.

Our entire industry is working together to build the next generation of talent. Our shared goal is simple: expose more students to real career opportunities and help strengthen the future workforce.

The next event takes place September 16 in Baltimore. We encourage industry professionals to get involved and volunteer.

We recently had the opportunity to visit students participating in the DC Students Construction Trades Foundation at Phelps Architecture, Construction and Engineering High School.

What made the experience especially meaningful was watching the students react to WarrenBuilds’ 25-year anniversary video. When they learned that Shane Warren grew up and attended school in the area, you could feel the room shift a bit.

It stopped becoming “some construction company.”
It became someone from their community who built something real.
We believe representation matters.

Several students stayed afterward to ask questions, grab business cards, and talk about careers in construction management and the trades. One student has already reached out for guidance as he prepares to attend UDC to pursue construction management.

Moments like this are a reminder that workforce development is showing young people what’s possible.

This past quarter our game ball went to deevanshu upadhyaya, Project Manager and a key part of the team for over five years!

Deevanshu is a strong performer. He’s taken the lead in developing and elevating our corporate safety program. The kind of work that doesn’t always make headlines, but impacts every job, every crew, every day.

After our community impact project with Junior Achievement, we brought the Warren Builds team together for a development day.

It was a chance to shift gears—from giving back to leveling up.

We aligned on where we’re headed this year, walked through priorities across the company, and made sure everyone understands the role they play in getting us there. We also welcomed a few new hires to the team—always a strong sign of growth when you’re adding the right people.

From safety to ex*****on to culture, this was about getting better as a group and moving forward with purpose.

The WarrenBuilds team recently spent time with 90+ Prince George’s County 7th-grade students, working through Junior Achievement of Greater Washington financial literacy training—covering the basics that matter: budgeting, saving, and making smart decisions early.

We also had the chance to speak directly with the group—sharing real-world perspective, lessons learned, and what it actually takes to build something over time.

Growing up in Prince George’s County, being back in front of these students was a reminder of what’s possible—and what a little exposure and guidance can do.

Big thanks to our team members who showed up, volunteered their time, and poured into these students. This is what leadership looks like off the jobsite and in our community.

WarrenBuilds is proud to be part of the team delivering ongoing upgrades at Oriole Park at Camden Yards alongside Gilbane Building Company.

Phase I is complete, focused on critical infrastructure and behind-the-scenes improvements to keep the ballpark running smoothly while setting the foundation for what’s next.

Now, we’re moving into Phase II—renovating the suites to elevate the fan experience with upgraded finishes, improved layouts, and modern amenities.

Proud to keep this one moving forward.
