The worst time to choose a snow provider?

When snow is already in the forecast.

RFP season is the time to look beyond price and find a snow and ice management partner you can count on when conditions turn. That means proactive planning, clear communication, consistent service, and a team equipped to keep large commercial properties safe and accessible.

The first storm shouldn’t be the first time you’re thinking about snow.

Sometimes the right business decision is the one that makes you less money.

When we asked Tyler Kreft what Do The Right Thing truly means to him, he shared an example that gets right to the heart of it:

“One example that comes to mind is when a client asks us to perform work that we know isn't the best long-term solution. Instead of simply doing what was requested, we take the time to explain the best long-term option and let them make an informed decision. Even if it means less work in the short term, you've earned their trust by putting their interests first.”

That’s the difference between simply doing the work a client asks for and being a partner they can trust.

As Tyler puts it, “Everyone deserves honesty, integrity, respect, and enthusiasm. Those values build trust and create lasting relationships."

That’s what Do The Right Thing looks like at Level Green.

A bad snow RFP can make you pay all winter long...

in dollars, service gaps, and safety risks.

If the scope isn’t clear, neither is what you’re paying for. And you may not find out what’s missing until the snow is already falling.

A clear RFP sets expectations before winter hits, so you know what contractors are pricing, what’s included, and what you can expect when the snow starts piling up.

Before you choose a snow contractor, get the RFP right.

Your landscaping contract renewed last season...

But did your landscape?

Same property doesn’t mean same plan.

Your provider should be looking for the next improvement, the detail to sharpen, the problem to prevent, the opportunity to make your property work and look better.

❄️Your winter safety plan shouldn’t start with a snowflake.

The work you do now can make all the difference when the first storm hits. Identify trouble spots, prioritize high-traffic areas, and make sure there’s a clear plan for snow and ice before conditions turn hazardous. That means thinking through everything from walkways and entrances to areas where melting snow can refreeze and create new hazards.

A little planning now can go a long way toward keeping your property safe and accessible throughout the winter.

Mother Nature did not get a copy of your snow budget.

For commercial property managers, one unpredictable winter can turn a perfectly reasonable spreadsheet into a very different story. However, you don’t have to predict every flake to build a budget that’s ready for what winter throws at your property.

Swipe through to take some of the gamble out of your snow and ice budget.

How much time did you spend managing your landscaper this year?

Following up. Checking whether something was completed. Responding to resident concerns. Pointing out issues that should have already been noticed.

The right landscape partner should take work off a property manager’s plate, not add to it.

For HOAs and community associations, that means consistent service, proactive communication, accountability, and a team that understands the bigger picture of managing a community.

If your HOA is evaluating landscape partners for next year, Level Green Landscaping is currently taking on new partnerships throughout the Greater Washington, D.C. region.

“I get responses the same day. That’s vital to our success.”

Good property management depends on good communication.

When you’re responsible for a large property like Loyola University, you shouldn’t have to chase down answers or wonder whether an issue is being handled. Strong property managers surround themselves with partners who communicate clearly, respond quickly, and help address problems before they become bigger ones.

Sometimes, a simple response can keep a small issue from becoming tomorrow’s headache.
