This project displays our high-speed dual car construction hoisting in conjunction with our specialized scaffold design services which provided backstructure with ramps from hoist to building. The building will serve as headquarters for Choice Hotels International.

This edition of “throw back Thursday” features Millstone’s work on yet another historic landmark, The U.S. Department of Treasury. Built from 1839-1842 then renovated & modernized in 2006, this project featured exterior scaffolding throughout, suspended scaffolding & construction hoisting. Completed on-time, under budget and with zero lost time injuries, the project won numerous awards including the Award of Excellence as Best Renovation/Restoration and its image appears on the back of the ten dollar bill.

This edition of “throw back Thursday” revisits Team Millstone’s design, engineering & installation work at Dulles International Airport. Providing complete access for the removal & replacement of the entire terminal ceiling with all work taking place at night, Millstone erected a “stair stepped” scaffolding on each side in 50’ increments then spanned the terminal width using modular aluminum trusses which when completely decked with plank & plywood provided complete “dance floor” access for multiple trades. The access system was then moved throughout the entire length of the terminal as work progressed.
