Even gravel beds need regular maintenance.

Weeds had started taking over this gravel area, so as part of our garden maintenance service, we cleaned everything out and brought the bed back to a clean, defined look.

Garden bed maintenance doesn’t stop after the mulch goes down in the spring.

This client had another contractor install fresh mulch earlier in the season, but the ongoing garden maintenance was forgotten. By late summer, the beds needed weeding, pruning, cleanup, and definition to bring the landscape back to life.

A healthy, clean landscape takes maintenance throughout the growing season — not just one visit at the beginning of the year.

Day 2 in Bowie, MD 🌱💧

Today we’re getting the drip irrigation installed.

We prefer drip because it puts the water right where the plants need it — at the root zone. Less runoff, less water wasted, and no need to soak the entire garden with overhead sprinklers.

It’s all about giving each plant the water it needs while keeping the garden simple and efficient long-term.

It’s not just about picking plants that look good 🌿

For this property in Bowie, Maryland, we’re installing Mockos, hydrangeas, and crape myrtles but before choosing anything, we’re looking at the site conditions and making sure we’re putting the right plant in the right place.

That’s what helps create gardens that last, look good, and don’t need a ton of maintenance to keep them going.

PSA: If your boxwoods look like they're dying, it might be blight. 🛑

We just finished up at the Hinton residence where we had to tear out a bunch of boxwoods that were too far gone. While we were at it, we yanked out three invasive barberries that were taking over the space.

The new setup:
🌱 Inkberry Holly (Native, tough, and looks great)
🌸 Weigela in the back (Added this for a completely different texture and color pop)
