September 11, 2001 - The day our nation will forever remember.
Twenty-five years later, the memories of that day still carry a weight that words cannot fully express.
We remember the innocent lives lost — people who went to work, boarded airplanes, and began an ordinary day never knowing it would be their last. We remember the families who received heartbreaking news and the loved ones who were left behind.
We remember the brave men and women who answered the call that morning. Firefighters, police officers, paramedics, and other first responders who put the safety of others before their own.
In the midst of grief, may we also remember the countless acts of kindness and compassion that emerged from unimaginable tragedy — strangers helping strangers, communities coming together, and Americans standing side by side.
September 11 reminds us of the preciousness of life, the courage of those who take an oath serve others, and the strength we can find when we come together.
Today, we honor every civilian who lost their life, every first responder who made the ultimate sacrifice, and every family forever changed by that day.
