It has been a while since I have posted on here. We have been working amidst the distress in our community here in Minneapolis. Though it has been difficult to balance things like work and regular life with the immense needs of our immediate neighbors and neighborhood. When federal agents are terrorizing schools, homes, day cares and streets in general it’s not something that I can just ignore. We and many others in our community have been stepping up, watching for ICE, bringing food to neighbors, giving rides to doctor’s appointments, and so many other things. This has calmed for the current moment but is not over. This is first time since December I am feeling some space to reflect and come back to certain spaces that there just has not been capacity for. When you are worried about your kid biking to school and running into tear gas or a Federal agent breaking any number of laws, or your trying to support with others the 50 percent of your child’s school that cannot safely be in person; it is difficult to be present in what used to be normal every day life.

I will come back to sharing some of the ‘normal’ bits of work we have been doing. Such as plastering some walls, ceilings, or lime washing a room.
Though know that we in Minneapolis and the greater Minnesota are still in recovery from a lot of pain and trauma that is not yet over.
❤️‍🩹

If anyone wants to support some very needed ongoing efforts here are some GoFundMe’s that need support.
They will be linked in my Bio.
